This was a tour from our cruise ship which also offered a similar tour. This tour was better in that there were only 12 people on the large full sized bus. We went to Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. The Guide was arrogant and did not communicate well. He got our lunches from the bus and took them to the top of a rock, talked for awhile about Omaha Beach and then told us to find a place to eat and come back to the bus when we were done. There was nowhere to sit - no benches or anywhere to eat! The Guide simply seemed bothered to be there - like he was doing us a big favor. Then we went to the American Cemetery which was awe inspiring. The bus trip back was on time and uneventful.
Dear James, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed traveling in a smaller group and that your visit to the American Cemetery was a meaningful experience. We're truly sorry to hear that the guiding and lunch stop did not meet your expectations. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and your comments have been shared with our team as we continually strive to improve. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Normandy in the future. Kind regards,
Easy to meet representative. Bus transportation was new and clean. Tour guide was the best in the business and he really spent time making sure everyone understood the D-Day invasion timeline. Lunch that was provided was good and we ate lunch on Omaha Beach
Dear Dave, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your D-Day experience with the guide. We will be sure to share your kind words with him. It was a pleasure welcoming you to Normandy, and we hope to see you again in the future!
Philip was incredibly knowledgeable and we had a great tour. My only suggestion is that the tour says 830 but the email the company sent said 800. Some on the tour didn’t get the email so we were a little late. But highly recommend!
Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed your tour and had a memorable experience. We'll pass on you kind words to Philip. We apologize for the confusion and will work on making our communications clearer. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Normandy in the future!
I would give this tour 10 stars if I could. Thierry our driver and Anne-Sophie our guide were exceptional, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to be with. We learned and saw so much more than we expected, and certainly more than we would have during a standard excursion tour. I cannot recommend them enough.
Dear Scott, Thank you for choosing Normandy Private Tours. We're pleased to hear that it was a memorable experience for you. We shall pass on your kind words to Thierry and Anne-Sophie. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Normandy again in the future!
What a wonderful day with our driver, Sache, and our guide, Elise, in Normandy from our cruise ship. Sache was right on time to pick us up from the cruise terminal. We picked up our guide close to Normandy. Elise was bright, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We visited the German Cemetery, the American Cemetery, Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach with the remnants of the Mulberry Docks, a German gun battery with the guns still in place and at the end a Commonwealth (British and Canadian) Cemetery. Elise had numerous photos and information to highlight every site. We dropped Elise in Bayeaux and Sache had us back to the ship right on time. This was a great day. We received what we paid for and it was worth the expense.
Dear Steven, Thank you for choosing us! We are pleased to hear that you had a great experience with the tour. We shall pass on your kind words to Elisa & Sache. We look forward to welcoming you back in Normandy in the future!
The points of interest were excellent. Better organization at bus pick up would have helped make the day more pleasant. It took nearly 30 minutes for everyone to find the Viator representative and bus. Our tour guide Philip, who was very knowledgeable, rushed us at Omaha Beach, giving us 20 minutes to eat lunch and take pictures. Also, we were under the impression that we would be stopping at the Normandy museum which didn't happen.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the sites visited and appreciated Philip’s knowledge. We apologize for the confusion at the meeting point and will work on improving the pick-up organization. We’re also sorry you felt rushed at Omaha Beach. Our guides follow a carefully timed itinerary to ensure guests return to the ship on time, but we’ll certainly share your comments with Philip. Regarding the museum, we apologize for any misunderstanding and will review our tour description to ensure it is as clear as possible. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
Excellent tour, very informative. I wish we had more time at Omaha Beach, though. Highly recommend this tour

The tour guide was not very nice. He was rude and arrogant.

Phillips was so knowledgeable and humorous. A great exploration of Omaha Beach.

The driver was excellent and the guide was awesome! Never stopped talking, and therefore gave us a tremendous amount of information. Good information. Now know a great deal more than I did going in… and appreciate that. Thank him for me.
