Do not book this cruise!! The cruise left 32 min late from the advertised departure time and was 58 min long and not 90 min as advertised!! The crew was very unprofessional and certainly not in any kind of uniforms but instead grubby dirty clothes. We were 32 min late leaving but instead of departing the crew was busy taking drink orders and serving them from a cardboard box. The boat was crowded, barely enough seats outside for half the passengers and absolutely filthy and in need of repairs. Would never recommend this boat cruise to anyone!
Pretty basic cruise could’ve been a little bit better employees could’ve been a little more interactive, but other than that, it was fine
Other than the rain it was beautiful. Hard to get to. Had to walk around the pier to find it. The water was very sloppy
This was absolutely terrible. There were two boats of groups of people waiting and it was chaos. There were no red shirted staff but only half ass workers who didn’t know anything. The boats were over 30 min late and confusing as to what boat was for whom. There was about 200 people waiting and no organization or info. People were irate and getting angrier. Our boat arrived 35 min late looked run down and too packed with no place to sit. So we left. I’ll never book with NY Skyline again.
Please do not book this ! We decided to do this sunset cruise while in NYC for the weekend. We got to location and it was chaotic and disorganized from the start. We finally got checked in and waited in line to get on boat . However, we and about 20 or 30 others were not allowed on because it was over sold. We watched the boat leave and no one came up to explain or give us a refund. We had to track the workers down to ask about a refund which the reluctantly just gave us a email address to contact .They were overall rude and unprofessional. I am now in the process on working with Viator to rectify this . I have used Viator many times and never had an issue with the tour operators they use , but this was inexcusable and Viator should not associate with this kind of company. Hopefully I will get my money back. By the way , the boat only had a small space that was open air , most of it was inside looking through windows. Definitely not what you expect for a sunset cruise!!
When I arrived at the location mentioned on my ticket, the people there informed me that the cruise ship had been canceled.
The check in lady was so rude to us and we s aw her talking down on her own employees. We even saw the woman tell a customer "l o nly speak English so you speak it too". We st arted late and ended super late as well. Poorl y timed wasted a lot of our time, told us we n eed to be 30 minutes early and the ride didn't even start until around 5:30. The ride was onl y supposed to be 1.5 hours and they poorly m anaged it and took so long to dock. The view of the Statue of Liberty was beautiful but wou Id never book with this particular company ag ain
The ferry it’s not clean and doesn’t look nice at all. Also, no one talks or explains anything not even when we got close to the Statue of Liberty. There is NO SUNSET
Caution - this cruise is not as advertised. The information on pickup (slip number, who to check in with, etc.) was completely incorrect. The cruise was slated to start at 4:30. We got to the slip at 4:15, and there were no boats anywhere. A boat (not branded at all as in the tour description) finally arrived at 4:30. We asked the crew if this was somehow our boat, since there was no other in sight. They said it was, so we joined the line to board. I paid for the 90-minute cruise, but ours only lasted an hour. There was also no narration from the crew on when we were passing key sights listed on the itinerary. The ship is old and shabby.
I booked with Viator over a month in advance for a 11 o’clock sailing. The day before the sailing I was called to say there was no 11 o’clock sailing, so I chose the 12.30pm instead. On the morning of the trip, we were on our way to the event when we received a call stating the boat had mechanical issues and we could move to a 12.30 pm sailing we advised we couldn’t because we had other commitments and would like a refund. An hour later somebody called again, offering a 2 or 4 o’clock sailing, again we told him we had other commitments. I book three trips through Viator and two cancelled. I received no real apology and will not use Viator again!
