Navegacion en el Canal Beagle con minitrekking USHUAIA
Descripción
Zarpamos del muelle turístico local recorriendo la amplia Bahía de Ushuaia hasta alcanzar el Canal Beagle a través del Paso Chico. Allí navegaremos alrededor de la Isla de los Pájaros donde podremos apreciar la avifauna fueguina. Observaremos: Skúas, Albatros de Ceja Negra, Patos Vapor, Cauquenes, Gaviotas Cocineras y Gaviotas Grises. Luego, nos iremos aproximando a la Isla de los Lobos donde podremos observar lobos marinos de uno y dos pelos. Ambas islas pertenecen al archipiélago Bridges. Al llegar al Faro Les Eclaireurs (Los Iluminadores), podremos ver las colonias de Cormoranes Imperiales y Cormoranes Roqueros mientras escuchamos la historia del hundimiento del SS Monte Cervantes que protagonizó en 1930. Haremos un descenso en Puerto Karelo, perteneciente a las Islas Bridges, donde se puede visitar concheros Yámanas genuinos. Esta caminata guiada tiene 20 minutos de duración aproximadamente y nos concentra en un punto panorámico donde se pueden lograr muy buenas fotografías.

Itinerario
Comenzamos la navegación saliendo desde el Muelle Turístico de nuestra ciudad, en dirección al Canal Beagle, disfrutando a medida que nos alejamos, de la vista panorámica de la costa de Ushuaia, divisando los edificios más importantes, Museo Marítimo (antiguo presidio), Museo del Fin del Mundo, el área industrial, y los montes Olivia y Cinco Hermanos.
Nos dirigimos a las Islas Bridges donde hacemos nuestra parada y descenso. Es importante destacar que la caminata que se hace durante esta visita no reviste ninguna dificultad y está al alcance de cualquier persona. Además de tener la experiencia de caminar en una pequeña isla en medio del Canal Beagle, el objetivo es apreciar los siguientes tres atractivos fundamentales: Conchero Yámanas: restos arqueológicos de los habitantes originarios del Canal Beagle. A pocos metros del muelle se encuentran depósitos de los asentamientos de los Yámanas o Yaganes, vamos a entrar en uno de ellos y, a partir de las explicaciones del guía, nos imaginaremos cómo vivían. Además, un corte en la pared del conchero nos permitirá entender mejor y observar la estratificación de las valvas de mejillones descartas. Recorriendo el circuito de interpretación, vamos apreciando el desarrollo particular que plantas, flores y frutos alcanzan en este ecosistema especial.
Volvemos a embarcar y navegamos hacia el sudoeste, acercándonos a la Isla de Los Lobos, donde, desde la embarcación, podremos disfrutar de la vista de ejemplares de lobos marinos, observando su hábitat permanente, en un escenario maravilloso. Continuando la navegación, nos dirigiremos hacia la Isla de Los Pájaros, hábitat de Cormoranes Magallánicos y Cormoranes Imperiales y sector privilegiado para divisar ejemplares de la avifauna marina. Continuamos hacia el Faro Les Eclaireurs, en el archipiélago del mismo nombre, donde naufragó el buque Monte Cervantes en el año 1930.
El regreso será a través del Paso Chico, divisando las Estancias Túnel y Fique, regresamos a Ushuaia, con una vista del imponente marco que le da a la ciudad el Monte Martial y el glaciar del mismo nombre.

Very crowded on catamaran. Landscaping is scenic but a little boring. Expected to see more wildlife than birds.

During high season, boats can operate at full capacity, but we always aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable journey. Wildlife sightings in the Beagle Channel can vary depending on weather and natural conditions. While birds are very common, sea lions and other marine life are sometimes seen along the route, though sightings can never be guaranteed. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving our services.
Much depends on the weather conditions, if the sea is rough it can be annoying. The views and sights of the animals repay the possible discomfort.

Not as interesting as I thought it would be, for me a little oversold. Slow boarding and not sure why, the line kept stopping and starting. Guide talks were mainly in Spanish with a cut-down version in English. The 'walk' is a 100m to a sign for the town name. We didn't really get to do the Beagle Channel, just a small part of it, I thought we would have gone around the coastline further. Got to see the sealions from the boat though. Boat size was good with comfy seats and big windows and lots of outside space too.

We had a great experience, it was nice to see the city from the water perspective. Walking on the island was nice as well. We were lucky with the weather. Unfortunately we did not spot whales.

It's a big ship, nothing spectacular but if you wanna chill on a boat it's a nice programme. There is no real trekking, it's a 10 metres walk. The provider pushes people out who don't pay for the photos the professional photographers do on the boat. We saw penguins from far and sealions too.

Well organized, comfortable boat, beautiful landscapes, guide in eapanhol and English. We left at 9:30 and returned 3 hours later directly for lunch at a dozen good restaurants in the region.

On a beautiful calm day it was a great introduction to the landscape as my first holiday activity. The island visit was just a short path out and back but taking a moment on the beach was nice.

We were able to see lots of animals from sea lions, penguins, cormorants, and even some whales. The boat was comfortable and even made one stop to get off and explore an island.
