Descripción
El crucero comienza en el Muelle Turístico de Ushuaia, navegando a través del Canal Beagle con vistas panorámicas de la ciudad, incluyendo monumentos como el Museo Marítimo y el Monte Olivia. Visitamos las islas Bridges y desembarcamos en la isla Karelo para una caminata fácil. Continuando hacia la isla Los Lobos, observamos lobos marinos en su hábitat natural. A continuación, pasamos por la isla de Los Pájaros, hogar de cormoranes magallánicos e imperiales, ideal para la observación de aves. Itinerario
Comenzamos el crucero, partiendo del Muelle Turístico de la ciudad y dirigiéndonos al Canal Beagle. Mientras navegamos, disfrutamos de la vista panorámica de la costa de Ushuaia. Inmediatamente divisamos los edificios más importantes: el Museo Marítimo (antigua prisión), el Museo del Fin del Mundo, la zona industrial, y el Monte Olivia y el Monte Cinco Hermanos. Nos dirigimos a las islas Bridges, donde hacemos nuestra parada y desembarcamos en la isla Karelo. Es importante tener en cuenta que la caminata durante esta visita es fácil y accesible para todos.
Navegamos hacia el suroeste, acercándonos a la isla Los Lobos, donde, desde el barco, podremos disfrutar de la vista de los lobos marinos, observando su hábitat permanente en un entorno maravilloso.
Continuando nuestro viaje por el Canal de Beagle hasta el Faro, nos dirigiremos hacia la Isla de Los Pájaros, un hábitat para cormoranes de Magallanes y cormoranes imperiales y un lugar privilegiado para avistar aves marinas.
Continuamos hacia el Faro de Les Eclaireurs, en el archipiélago del mismo nombre, donde naufragó el Monte Cervantes en 1930. Después de disfrutar del crucero por el Canal Beagle hasta el faro, comenzamos nuestro viaje de regreso. El viaje de regreso nos llevará por Paso Chico, con vistas a las Estancias Túnel y Fique. Regresamos a Ushuaia, con una vista del imponente Monte Marcial y el glaciar del mismo nombre que la ciudad. Nothing special. Just a few sealions but that’s it. No pinguïns. You can better spend your time on something else.
We were fortunate to enjoy a perfect day in autumn: bright sunshine and no wind, we sailed gently around the island to observe the friendly sea lions.
Great short excursion for our needs. We bought our tix off TripAdvisor. The tix clearly stated where our pickup location was. We arrived about 30 minutes prior at the pier hut and received our boarding passes and directions on where to locate our particular vessel. We board the Ezequial AB vessel which is an enclosed double decker catamaran with great viewing from inside. We saw a huge group of cormorants and the. On to the lighthouse where we saw the sea lions. There were many amazing photo opportunities. We also stopped at a small island to take photos of the Beagle Channel. The tour was 3 hours and departed and returned on time.
Do not book through Trip Advisor. You’ve been warned. Book directly at kiosks in Ushuaia in the wharf, ie Rumbo Sur, Tolkeyen, others. Trip Advisor outsources to “Gray Line” which does not exist as a tour provider, but contracts out again and does tell you who they contract out to. They never inform you who you need to approach about honoring your tickets. After 30 minutes of being tossed between all of the tour operators, one said they would honor the Trip Advisor tickets. By US standards, this would be considered fraud. If you can deal with the hassle of not knowing when you will be picked up at your hotel, and not knowing which operator will honor your tickets, the tour is otherwise wonderful and the scenery and wildlife is spectacular.

It’s a very expensive activity for what it offers: they take you by catamaran to a nearby island where there is a viewpoint that is nothing otherworldly, then they take you to a super small island where you can see the sea lions and cormorants, they leave you there 15 minutes to take photos and then they take you to see the lighthouse, which is not something otherworldly either, sincerely very boring and takes longer than it would actually take, but obviously they have to justify the cost. IT'S NOT WORTH IT...
When I booked with Viator I got a confirmation from the tour operator, Rumbo Sur. They advised there was no hotel pick up (though the tour description offered one), and that the stand where I was to collect my ticket from was only a few blocks away. Once I arrived and checked in I was given a laminated ticket with Rumbo Sur’s name on it, then was directed to join a queue beside a Rumbo Sur branded vessel. Turns out that was not the catamaran I had booked, and instead Rumbo Sur had outsourced to a much larger catamaran operated by TOLKEYEN PATAGONIA TURISMO, and had I booked with them in the first place I would have paid more than half (2400 pesos) of what paid on Viator (4500 pesos/USD $76)
<p>you do not see penguins on this tour. the boat was extremely crowded and you could not hear the information. we went on another tour the next day, and it was 4.5 hours this tour is actually only 2.5 hours and we got to see penguins and the boat is much nicer.</p>

<p>It was nice trip. The sea lions were so close to town. It was suprice to us. This trip was including pick up from the hotel, but it did not work out. Noone came to pick us up and it was very hard to get contact how was responsability of this tour. It is much cheaper to buy this tour from the harbour. In winter time the penguins are not around Ushuaia. That should be told before.</p>
