The TripAdvisor ticket I purchased was not honored at the museum. Forget purchasing tickets through TripAdvisor and buy tickets directly from the museum. I was told at the London Museum of Natural History that the museum does not honor third party tickets. TripAdvisor refused to refund the ticket price I paid.

It was nice to have a guide tell us about the museum’s history. I would not have wanted to go without a knowledgeable person.
On a packed one-week tour of London, we knew that we had a maximum of half-a-day for the Natural History Museum. However we had a family full of science enthusiasts, including our dino-crazy teens. So we pre-booked this walking tour of 2 to 2.5 hours, thinking we could at least cover the main aspects. But we were not expecting to be overwhelmed with such a detailed, lucid, and compelling treasure of information as our guide, Joe, was able to provide us. Joe said he is a paleontologist and a science educator, which is quite clear from his passion to share his knowledge. I told him that I see this as a significant turning point in the thirst to learn science for both my daughter and my nephew, who were listening open-mouthed to his entire narrative. Significantly, not only did Joe explain about the artefacts and their significance, and their meaning from an evolution point of view; but also gave us the historiology of how they were found, how they were interpreted, the significant people behind the discoveries, disputes among them and how they were resolved, etc. Thank you Joe for the unforgettable tour.
Very nice museum, very large with animal bones and replicas, photographs, sensory experiences. The most beautiful and complete I have done so far!
