We had the best tour made even better with our incredible guide Flavia I think her name was. Her wealth of knowledge and pace of the tour were outstanding, especially at the hottest time of the year! Would 100% recommend this tour, it was so easy to book and find the starting point, everything was very straightforward and simple. It made the visit to the Vatican so much easier
Brilliant experience and guide fantastic and very knowledgable. The only downfall to this visit was the length of walking time to the pick up office from the Big Bus Tour. The directions on the app said 20 minutes walk, but it took around 30 minutes in sweltering heat. Once arrived at ticket office we were told to wait outside for another 10 minutes for guide. A meeting point nearer to the Vatican would have been better. But would throughly recommend the tour and you need to book to skip the lines.
This trip is well worth the visit. My only criticism was the ear phones that we were given that fix to your ear. It was really hard to get them to stay on and so was annoying throughout and so hard to listen to your guide at points. It would have been better to just have the standard earphones that are available.
Very good experience, must go there if you’re in Rome. Very long visit, and one section had over 50 rooms to browse. Only downside is that shoulders and knees must be covered, so we had to buy trousers in a different store beforehand. Recommend bring light weight t-shirts and trousers or a change of shorts for afterwards, as it can get very hot.
Great tour with our passionate and knowledgeable guide. Made sure we'd seen most of the 'highlights' as you could spend days here and still not see everything.
Amazing your! Lots of walking, overwhelmed with so much beauty all Around. So much to intake. Make sure to visit gift shops and have your rosary blessed by a priest.
Overall excellent. Very smooth process. Excellent guide. Skipping the lines for the Vatican was definitely worth it (super long slow moving line even on a Monday that we skipped).
Guide spoke too much too long too boring in one spot and wasted too much time. Families were leaving the tour. People were leaving the tour and we left the tour. My partner was handicapped and they knew it and it was too much out in the sun for him I . on a two hour tour, she wasted too much time explaining things that were not interested, we did not want a history lesson. We wanted to see inside the Vatican, the Sistine chapel..
Firstly, the Vatican Museums are absolutely amazing and are a must-see if you’re visiting Rome. The history, artwork and architecture are truly breathtaking, and there are countless incredible exhibits to admire. However, the experience is let down by the sheer volume of visitors. It feels very much like a money-printing machine. The number of people passing through each day is phenomenal, but unfortunately the infrastructure seems to be struggling to cope with the demand. We visited in August, and many of the rooms felt well over 40°C. Combined with the wall-to-wall crowds, it became quite uncomfortable at times. Staff appeared overwhelmed by the number of visitors and often struggled to keep the “ herd “ moving through the museums. There also seemed to be gift shops appearing at regular intervals, making it feel as though there were frequent opportunities to spend even more money during the visit. A polite suggestion to the Vatican: with the hundreds of millions of euros generated from visitors each year, please consider investing more in air conditioning and improving the visitor experience. The museums deserve to be remembered for their extraordinary collection, not for the oppressive heat and overcrowding.

A special thank you to Matteo, our guide, who was truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history, art, and architecture of the Vatican. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made the tour both informative and enjoyable. His enthusiasm kept the group interested from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you have Matteo as your guide. He made our visit unforgettable!
