Thank you very much for your visit. We are very glad to hear that you liked our collection. The relationship between Art and the Venice Carnival is one of mutual inspiration. For over five centuries, the visual allure of the Venetian carnival — the play of light, shadow, mystery, and theatrical luxury — has served as a primary muse for painters, sculptors, printmakers, and modern artists across the globe.

Dear Lea-Sophie, thank you very much for your visit and for your review. We are glad to hear that you liked our museum and our collection. The aesthetic of the Venice Carnival is a distinct visual language built on centuries of theatricality, dark romanticism, spatial harmony, and the interplay between illusion and identity. It is not merely decorative; it is an engineered visual environment designed to transform the city into a living stage.

Wonderful experience
I had a wonderful time in this museum, the atmosphere is magical and very theatrical, each room has its own universe and you really feel all the beauty of the world of Venice and the carnival. The welcome is perfect, thank you for this experience.

Thank you for your visit to our Venice Carnival Museum. At the Venice Carnival Museum, the idea of creating a magical ambience is well cherished, thus we treasure your appreciation. During the historical venetian carnival, the atmosphere played a huge role: thousands of musicians, performers, and jugglers filled the streets, spreading the joyous and playful intentions of the holiday. Small and big piazzas became real theatre stages: IL Volo d'Angelo (The Flight of the Angel) was a ceremony which consisted in a performance of a trained acrobat, disguised as an angel, who would descend from the historic St. Mark's bell tower, to the square itself, transforming the center of the city into a fascinating stage itself.

Thank you very much for visitinig our Venice Carnival Museum. And thank you that you mantioned our music. Music lies at the very heart of the Venice Carnival, shaping both its elite palace culture and its wild street celebrations. Outside the grand theater halls, music filled every alleyway (calli) and canal: The Barcarolle - Gondoliers had their own distinct vocal style, singing melodic folk ballads across the water as they ferried masked revellers between palace parties. Street troupes used lutes, tambourines, flutes, and harpsichords to accompany comedic skits, acrobatic displays, and improvised dancing in public squares (campi).

Tahnk you very much for visiting our Venice Carnival Museum. We are glad to hear that you like our collection. Behind the colorful masks and grand balls, the history of the Venice Carnival is packed with bizarre laws, extreme social experiments, and surprising traditions that most people never hear about. While today we think of masking as a fun choice, during certain eras of the Venetian Republic, the government forced citizens to wear masks during specific events.

Dear Livia, thank you very much for your review and visit at our Venice Carnival Museum. You saw that in our collection we also have 2 dresses from different époque: the French dress from 1765 and The Delphos by Mariano Fortuny from 1920. Because during the years Venice Carnival has influenced—and continues to influence—the greatest fashion designers from all over the world: Hermès created a silk collection dedicated to the Carnival theme, Giorgio Armani's last fashion show in Venice featured designs inspired by Harlequin, and Dolce & Gabbana crafted custom masks that are now displayed in their Venetian boutique.

Dear Elizabeth, thank you very much for your kind review. I give you another beautifull facts from Venice Carnival. During the Carnival we also have one day which called "Volo dell'Angelo" (The "Flight of the Angel")
On this day in Piazza San Marco—the Volo dell'Angelo (Flight of the Angel)—began in the 1500s when a young Turkish acrobat walked on a tightrope attached from a boat in the basin all the way to the top of the Campanile bell tower. After a tragic fall in 1759, the live acrobat was replaced by a wooden dove (Volo della Colombina) for centuries, before returning to a human "angel" in modern times.
