Our group ended up being just my husband and I since other members cancelled so we ended up having a private tour! We appreciate Keys of Italy for keeping and honoring our tour despite it being just the two of us. The lovely Yulia ended up giving us an impressive, knowledgeable tour. We are art history buffs so we greatly appreciated how learned she was in all the interesting details and ability to answer our questions. We highly recommend!

The line skipping is worth the price of the ticket - we passed a long line of others waiting to enter for both the Uffizi and the Academia. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. It was an excellent experience.

Leo was an awesome guide! Very informative and helpful. We were able to see all the highlights at both museums and learned a lot about Florence walking between the two.

My husband and I took the tour and loved it. Our guide, Ivano, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us the history of the city, the Medici family, the artists whose work we saw, as well as the paintings. I would describe this tour as in depth. As I studied art history many years ago, including the Renaissance, it was the perfect tour for me. Having said that, you don’t need any art background, but an interest in history and an appreciation for fine works of art! We also got very lucky and we ended up with a private tour, since there were just the two of us. This is definitely a tour for older teens and adults, as it is a long tour. However, I felt that it was the perfect length. It was great going early before the crowds (9 AM start) and we had little or no wait with our fast passes. I forgot to bring water with me, which was in the suggested instructions, so I would suggest taking your own in. We did get the opportunity for a short break for the bathroom and a drink but you want to maximize your tour so I wouldn’t waste time on lining up for a drink, as service can be slow. Another bonus was that we were also able to take lots of pictures during the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was a highlight of our trip!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the tour and found it both in-depth and enriching. It’s wonderful that your background in art history made the experience even more meaningful, and we’re glad the tour lived up to your expectations. We agree—starting early and skipping the lines can really make a difference, and we appreciate you sharing helpful tips for future guests. It’s also great to know you appreciated the opportunity to take photos and that the pacing of the tour felt just right. Thank you again for your recommendation—it truly means a lot to us. We’re so happy to have been a highlight of your trip, and we hope to welcome you again someday!
Tour guide Maria Christina Lavecchia was the best. She knew everything about the history of the art and answered all of our questions thoroughly. And she spoke perfect English. We didn’t wait at all, bypassed the lines at both sites and walked right in. We also learned much about Florence on the walking tour between the museums. Best tour we had in all of Italy.

Our tour guide was excellent….I can’t remember his name unfortunately. Incredibly knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for the subject matter was very evident. He basically provided an art history lesson which I needed/appreciated, without being too dry. I had very little idea about the statue David and learned a lot. Great experience!

Highly recommend the small group tour as the museum is very crowded and being in a small group allows for you to be a little bit more nimble and get closer to the paintings while also receiving very detailed information about them. Our guide, Gianna, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much information with us. Loved the combination of Ufizzi and Accademia with a walking tour past Il Duomo. Beautiful day of art!
