The morning pick up was right on time and the trip out to the Sterkfontein caves was very informative. Navigating through the caves is, at times, a bit arduous with lots of steps and low, narrow passages but worth the effort. The Cradle of Humankind museum was very interesting but looked a little tired.
This was a great day trip from Joburg, and our guide, Lebo, made the experience even better. His extensive knowledge, both historical and contemporary, established a clear context for the places we visited and the things we saw. When visiting the caves, be sure to wear sturdy shoes and be aware that crawling, stooping, and many stairs are involved. The museum was beautifully laid out, and we really enjoyed the whole experience!
Driver from our hotel was prompt but a little too fast getting there. Guide was informative but not over enthusiastic. Museum tired but interesting. Cave were strenuous, lots of steps but fascinating...a wothwhile distraction from life in Johannesburg.
It was great, the guide was very comprehensive, the tour is very worth it, are extraordinary places that bring a lot of history.
Really amazing experience. Very interesting and well put together museum. It’s a good place to go as a family. Many interactive experiences for children.
I enjoyed my day trip to the museum and caves. The pick up was on time and the drive was safe. The guides at each site were informative and we had time to look at the exhibits. The trip was well timed to fit in with the tours at each site.
Wonderful experience! The pick up was great, straight in our hotel! Our driver and guide Lebo was extraordinary! Great talk and he has an amazing knowledge of Johannesburgs history! The caves are something of the most impressive things we have ever seen! Amazing way to start off your South African adventure!
Our guide, Sabelo, arrived on time and gave us a thorough overview of the day’s proceedings. When we arrived at Sterkfontein Caves, there was no waiting time and we were on our way to explore the magnificent caves. After that, we headed to Maropeng museum where we had time to explore the exhibits both guided and non-guided. We also had a great lunch spot around the area. Everything was well-paced and we were brought back to our hotel safely. Highly recommended!
We were collected by our Guide on time from the hotel. Guide was informative and friendly and was very clear with instructions.
Low crowds , nice group size , good pace and very informative, nice day tour, excellent hotel pick up
