The weather was perfect for hiking, with sunny skies and excellent visibility. On the bus, our guide John shared rich historical knowledge that helped us better appreciate the famous Great Wall section. Stretching endlessly along rolling green mountain ridges, Mutianyu Great Wall looks like a giant dragon winding far into the horizon. Ancient weathered watchtowers stand at intervals, surrounded by thick lush woodland that blankets every hillside. Bathed in bright sunlight, the aged grey bricks glow softly, creating a grand, jaw-dropping mountain panorama at every turn.

My day trip with guide John was absolutely memorable. We started our journey at the Great Wall in gorgeous sunny weather. We only waited a little for the cable car, which took us up to magnificent mountain views; the grand General Platform was a definite highlight. We had a satisfying buffet lunch after exploring the wall, then toured the Summer Palace. Me and my family with two almost grown daughters were not wrong to book this tour. Everything was perfectly organized, on time and with clear instructions.
