La catedral de Svetitskhoveli es una catedral ortodoxa oriental ubicada en la histórica ciudad de Mtskheta, Georgia, al noroeste de la capital georgiana de Tbilisi. Svetitskhoveli, una obra maestra de la Alta Edad Media, es reconocida por la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Actualmente es la segunda iglesia más grande de Georgia, después de la Catedral de la Santísima Trinidad.
El Monasterio Jvari (en georgiano: ჯვრის მონასტერი) es un monasterio ortodoxo georgiano del siglo VI cerca de Mtskheta, en el este de Georgia. Junto con otras estructuras históricas de Mtskheta, está catalogado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. El monasterio de Jvari se encuentra en la cima de una montaña rocosa en la confluencia de los ríos Mtkvari y Aragvi. De acuerdo con los relatos tradicionales, en esta ubicación a principios del siglo IV, San Nino, una evangelista acreditada con la conversión del Rey Mirian III de Iberia al cristianismo, erigió una gran cruz de madera en el sitio de un templo pagano. La cruz supuestamente pudo hacer milagros y, por lo tanto, atrajo peregrinos de todo el Cáucaso. Ananuri (georgiano: ანანური) es un complejo de castillos en el río Aragvi en Georgia, a unos 72 km de Tbilisi. Una dinastía feudal que gobernó el área desde el siglo XIII. El castillo fue escenario de numerosas batallas. Dentro del complejo, entre otros edificios, se encuentran dos iglesias. La antigua Iglesia de la Virgen, que se apoya en una torre cuadrada alta, tiene las tumbas de algunos de los duques de Aragvi. Data de la primera mitad del siglo XVII, y fue construida en ladrillo. La Iglesia más grande de la Madre de Dios (Ghvtismshobeli), construida en 1689 para el hijo de Duke Bardzem. Es una estructura de estilo de cúpula central con fachadas ricamente decoradas, que incluyen una entrada norte tallada y una cruz de vid tallada en la fachada sur. También contiene los restos de varios frescos, la mayoría de los cuales fueron destruidos por el fuego en el siglo XVIII.

Este monumento fue construido en 1983 para celebrar el bicentenario del Tratado de Georgievsk y la "amistad en curso" entre Georgia y la Rusia soviética. La iglesia está situada en la orilla derecha del río Chkheri (el afluente izquierdo del río Terek), a una altura de 2170 metros (7120 pies), bajo el Monte Kazbegi. La Iglesia de la Trinidad Gergeti fue construida en el siglo XIV. Para levantarse en la iglesia debe tomar conductor local con coche su costo 80 Gel (30USD) no incluido en la empresa.

Highly recommend this tour with Guri. He was accommodating, flexible and quite chill. You can spend as much time as you want in one place and he’d just wait for you. The spots are stunning. It’s a must go in Georgia.
I should have been alerted when I seen there were no reviews of this operator for some 3 years. This is not a reliable outfit, failing to deliver on a pre booked and pre paid tour. Attempts to secure a refund remain on-going but the company are, of course, incommunicado.
The skilled driver was very friendly, but he picked me up at the hotel two hours too late and he barely spoke more than 3 words of English (as he admitted himself). The Georgian landscape is beautiful, but we could not reach the last two destinations. Still I'm glad to have seen part of Georgia, and I will certainly come back (but not with this tour company).
Our Tour guide was David. He is very patient, sweet and one of the most genuine people we met in Georgia. He helped in exploring all the best places and explained to us everything very calmly. I highly recommend him to any visitor coming to Georgia. Just book a tour with him and you’ll surely make a great friend by the end of your trip.
we booked this Tour from Tbilisi to Mtskheta, Ananuri, Gudauri e Kazbegi, in selling description was complete of driving and professional guide in English. We started to visit the Svetitskhovely Cathedral and we were waiting for an explanation or some informations from the "guide" but he said nothing and only gave us his mobile with Wikipedia webpage dedicated to the Cathedral. After this also in the other Churches he made the same offer. We, of course, read by ourselves the informations about monuments but wasn’t the service we asked. From a driving point of vew this guy was a very good driver, he was also a nice person but it was a pity that didn't tell us any information about the interesting places. He was only a driver not a touristic guide! We had to check for all the time Wikipedia on internet....And for the amount (EUR €163,64 for two persons) we expect a different treatment. We wanted only a normal general guide but he didn't say NO ONE WORD, nor historical, nor religious, nor about nothing. We told everything to the chief Mr Goga Gogadze asking back part of money for missing guide but he avoided his responsibilities. Be sure to have an official touristic guide!!
This tour has alot to offer, and if you don’t spend too long in each site, you’ll manage to see everything and get back early. The beauty of the Gudauri region will amaze you. If you are an adrenaline junkie, and plan ahead, you’ll be able to book a paragliding session. Unfortunately I didn’t k now about it, so there was no time to do it. During this tour, you’ll also visit many beautiful churches and monasteries including the UNESCO site- Jvari Monastery. Our guide Lasha was very friendly and took lovely photos of us :)
My guide, Dachi, did a great job showing me around. I had only a few days so trips like this that show several sights, including Mtskgeta, on the way to Kazbegi are key. During the stretches of roads between sights, Dachi kept it interesting with good conversation. Dachi also arranged other transportation in Georgia.
This was a well executed and well planned. Our tour guide Wako was great who gave us great information, drove safe. We covered all the spots with ease and learnt about the history, culture, music along the way. Well priced! Would highly recommend them!
A full day private trip with our guide Giorgi. The guide arrived promptly and introduced himself. The tour was delivered as advertised. We ride on a new comfortable vehicle. Guide never rushed us and assisted in case we wanted to take a photo of us together during the tour. His knowledge about monasteries was adequate, but don't expect the guide will give you a detailed information as there are too many things to see and to do in one day. Also guide suggested us where to have a lunch.
One of the best private tour. Kudos to Mr. David & of course Mr. Vakho who become our most trusted Georgian family friend rather than just guide. It is safe and memorable day tour. Mr. Vakho detailed knowledge about each place visited and hospitality is beyond appreciation.
