Monte Etna y Taormina
Descripción
Lo recogeremos de la costa de su puerto y lo llevaremos al volcán más alto y activo de Europa. Durante el ascenso se pueden observar diferentes tipos de vegetación. Llegaremos a 2.000 metros, donde luego daremos un paseo juntos para visitar los cráteres "Silvestri" y los últimos nuevos flujos de lava y cráteres de 2001/2003. En el camino, visitamos una granja familiar local donde es posible probar el vino local del Etna, una selección de diferentes tipos de miel (naranja, limón, eucalipto, fresa ...), pasteles de almendras, aceitunas, aceite de oliva virgen extra. Conduciendo desde el monte a través de un maravilloso bosque de pinos, llegamos a lo más destacado de Taormina. No hay que perderse una visita al Teatro Griego, un paseo por la calle "Corso Umberto" con varias tiendas de arte y diseñadores, iglesias barrocas y Palazzi. Puede disfrutar de una excelente comida en uno de los lugares locales de Sicilia señalados por su conductor experto.

We used this company for private driving tours for 8 days in Sicily . We used them from Palermo to Taormina to Siracusa to Ortegia to Agrigento and back to Palermo. We did 8 day trips on our two week trip to Sicily and were completely satisfied! They were on time , provided a clean and comfortable Mercedes Van and were super helpful, friendly, protective, and provided some great restaurant recommendations. We booked multiple tours and transfers with Autoservizi Sicily Tours di C. Egitto and I wish there was a category above "Excellent!" Every driver was on time, friendly, safety-conscious, English-speaking, and professional. The tour guides they booked for us in Palermo/Monreale, Taormina, and Siracusa were all top-notch as well. Communication with the booking office through Roswitha was great--responsive, clear, and timely. A fantastic experience all around--highly recommended!

Carmelo picked us up from the very crowded cruise terminal in Messina. (Otherwise you have to wait for a bus to take to the end of the port area which is quite large). We really enjoyed the change in scenery as we ascended to the craters on Mt Etna which made for a really great walk. (recommend closed toe shoes and if 60 degrees F is cold, maybe a sweatshirt). The olive oil & honey tasting was great and we bought a few bottles to take back on the ship. (Unfortunately, only one jar made it back due to an accidental drop on the pavement) We enjoyed lunch, gelato and walking around Taormina with the amazing views, scenery and shops. We felt very comfortable immediately with Carmelo and he easily answered all of our questions. Carmelo was very knowledgeable and a very good driver. We very much enjoyed our day with him in Sicily. Highly recommend.

Amazing active volcano. Very scenic, interesting and so much fun. this was our second visit to Mt Etna.
He is well versed in the history of the land. Well mannered & Fun. Anyone who has him as a driver is very fortunate. We ❤️ him.
