Excellent experience, well worth it , highlight of our trip . All ages loved it. Waterfalls was my favorite
Bruno and the driver (forgot his name) were awesome. Everything went smoothly and punctual. Bruno provided great suggestions about the places to visit in Bosnia & Herzegovina. He worked very efficient at the border crossing. Thanks for a good day.
Had a great day with Joe and our lovely driver Ivan. Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful (especially at the border) pointing out local history and toilets at every location. The stops gave a lot of time for us to explore with our guide and by ourselves. A lot of the local tips helped us out (where to refill bottles, where to find good coffee and exchange rates) and we had an amazing stress-free day. Cannot recommend enough!!
Trip was as expected, mostly self-guided once off the bus. It was a long day, however it was well worth it as a day trip from Split.
Grayline cancelled tour the day before. We extended our stay in Croatia by two days in Split to go on this tour. Could have avoided the two nights hotel and departed early if the cancellation was communicated earlier. Not happy.
Excellent day out. Had ample time in each location (more than expected), with a guided tour of Mostar included. Our tour guide Petar was fantastic, incredibly informative and had us laughing all day. Be mindful, most places are cash only (they do accept euros). Nowhere at the waterfalls takes cash and the ATM charges quite a bit for cash withdrawal, so get cash out beforehand. Definitely worth the money - one of the best days out.
A great day out from start to finish. Meeting at the Gray Line office for check-in was quick. Our guide Laura met us and took us to the clean, air conditioned bus. I'm unable to remember the name of the driver, but he drove well and safely. Laura went through the programme for the day and instructions for crossing the border for our time in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The various stops gave us sufficient time to look around without feeling rushed. Kravice Waterfalls were lovely and cooling in the hot weather. There is so much I could say about this excursion but best experienced for yourself. Laura was well informed about each destination, giving us additional advice for each stop. Definitely an excursion to experience.
I would personally not recommend this tour. While I got to check out another country I did not think the price and time was worth it. While you get to see everything that was advertised the tour is a bit misleading. First stop was super short and there was not enough time to do anything that was recommended and seemed like a waste. The guide in Mostar was great however after only a 30 minute tour you’re are on your own for the rest of the time. While they say some places take card I would highly recommend bringing lots of cash and I didn’t find a single place for lunch that took card. While I do appreciate the smoothness that this tour provided at the border crossings, there was a lack of information about where to get water and use the bathroom which I feel are important things in +36 degree weather. Finally while you get to spend 1hr at the waterfall most of this time is spent walking up and down the stairs to get to them and does not give enough time to swim in my opinion.
Overall this was a fun and enjoyable experience. It is definitely a full day! We were picked up at 7a and didn’t arrive back to the meetup point until almost 8p. There was a lot of driving and my biggest negative was the poor comfort of the bus seats and bus temperature. On multiple stops when we exited it was cooler outside than inside the bus. The strength of the ac was abysmal. Our guide, Laura, was fantastic!
Some things travelers should know before booking this tour. Our return trip was incredibly frustrating. We spent TWO HOURS sitting at the border waiting to cross back into Croatia. While I understand that border delays are sometimes unavoidable, what was unacceptable was the complete lack of communication from our tour guide. Neither the driver nor the tour guide provided any updates about what was happening or how long we might be waiting. The trip to our destination crossing the border took only about an hour, so spending two hours stopped at the border with no information was extremely frustrating. The day also seemed poorly planned. It was extremely hot, so everyone was drinking plenty of water. After sitting at the border for two hours, we still had approximately another hour and a half to return to Split. During those nearly four hours on the bus, there were no restroom stops, and no one offered passengers an opportunity to get off and use a bathroom. To make matters worse, the restroom on the bus was not operational. By the end of the ride, many passengers were visibly uncomfortable. I also wanted to mention our visit to Kravica Falls. While the waterfalls themselves are okay, I found it difficult to justify paying €30 for two people to enter what felt like an overcrowded tourist attraction. There were no chairs or shaded places to sit and relax despite the large number of visitors. You could pay to rent a chair but all the chairs were dirty and looked like they were picked up at a garage sale. The restrooms were absolutely disgusting—and I truly mean disgusting. I attached a photo of the area outside the restroom because it accurately reflects the condition of the facilities. Considering how much money is collected from visitors every day, it certainly doesn't appear to be invested back into maintaining the park. Visitors should also know that reaching the falls requires navigating a long, steep staircase both down and back up. There is a shuttle available, but it costs an additional €1 per person and does not always operate on the same schedule as the tour buses, making it an unreliable option if you're trying to get back on time. We also felt the itinerary itself could have been much better. The first stop added very little value and, in our opinion, was a poor use of time. The only actual guided portion of the tour lasted about 45 minutes. Beyond that, it felt as though we were simply paying for transportation rather than a guided sightseeing experience. Overall, we were disappointed that we chose to spend one of our vacation days on this excursion. While some delays are outside of the tour company's control, better planning, working restroom facilities, scheduled bathroom breaks, and basic communication throughout the day would have made for a much better experience. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend it.
