Los viajeros disfrutarán de un paseo guiado por exuberantes pueblos verdes y plantaciones de plátanos en las laderas del Monte Kilimanjaro. The Materuni Village is beautiful, with its majestic waterfall and warm, welcoming community creating a truly unforgettable experience. The guided walk was filled with fascinating stories about local culture, while the traditional lunch especially the delicious banana soup was exceptional. This is a very rustic experience. It was a rainy day, so path was super slippery/muddy. Coffee extraction is done in a small house - again very native/ rustic exp. Waterfall is beautiful although the hike got adventurous due to the rains and super slippery pathway. Saw multiple folks slipping/falling on the way. The lunch exp was again in someone’s house porch- nothing fancy- traditional vegetarian couple of dishes. People were nice and it seems a way to bring business to the village.
