The trip was the whole day but absolutely worth it! In just one day, we got to see what felt like around 70% of Montenegro, with so many incredible impressions of nature. We saw Devil’s Lake from the bus, we went to a beautiful waterfall at lunch place, the Black Lake and the Tara River Canyon deepest point from the bus we took Photos. The first stop at the view point in budva was awesome. The Tara Bridge was another highlight of the trip, although unfortunately, you currently cannot cross the bridge on foot because of construction work. The Zipline costs €50 per person, which is definitely expensive. This was one of the reasons I deducted a few points from my overall rating. However, I have to admit that the experience itself was absolutely worth it. It was exciting, beautiful and something we will definitely remember. 🇲🇪✨ Lunch costs a fixed €20 per person, but I actually found that completely reasonable because it includes a drink, salad and a main course. So no complaints there. For the Zipline, you unfortunately cannot take your own photos or videos during the ride. Afterwards, professional photos are available for €10. The photos turned out really beautiful, but overall, the additional costs can add up quickly. In our case, there were around €150 in extra costs including meal for 2, which we definitely found quite excessive. After the Zipline, we were taken back by bus so that we could return to the starting point again with zip line. The views of the Tara Canyon were absolutely beautiful, and despite the high price, it was a really great experience. So yes, the price is definitely something you can argue about, and personally, I found it too expensive. But in the end, the memories will stay with us forever, and that made the experience special. 🏞️ Also one of the highlights for us was a small local stand selling wine and “Šumsko voće / Šumski proizvodi.” The wine was incredibly good, the prices were reasonable, small 10€ Big bottle 15€ and the people were so kind that they even gave us a bottle as a gift when we buid from them. The Black Lake was honestly a little funny because it is definitely not black! 😂 The water is so bright and turquoise that it can look even more beautiful than the sea. It was still absolutely stunning. The walk from the bus to the lake takes around 15 minutes, so you need to leave the bus on time to make the most of your visit. The monastery was also absolutely beautiful. We had the opportunity to light candles and pray inside the Orthodox church, which made the visit feel even more special, because we are orthodox Christians. It was a really beautiful and peaceful experience to see the monastery and take in the atmosphere. Definitely another memorable part of the trip. 🤍⛪️ There is no real dinner included because there simply isn’t enough time, but we had apple pie instead, which I can highly recommend! The prices there were very low so very nice.🍎 Overall, the tour was very informative and well organized. Despite being a long day, I was genuinely impressed by how many different places and experiences we could fit into just one day. We collected so many unforgettable memories and got to see a beautiful side of Montenegro. 🇲🇪 One important tip: If you suffer from motion sickness, definitely bring motion sickness tablets. The roads can be quite winding, and the journey is long. I also recommend bringing something cooling for your head. I used a cooling cream from Thailand called Wofo cream, and it was amazing for me. All in all, a beautiful and unforgettable trip that I would definitely recommend! 🌿🏞️🇲🇪
It was a long day. Guide was very knowledgeable about the are and places. I was disappointed that TripAdvisor did not post that Tara Canyon Bridge has been under remodeling/construction for over a year. It was closed for tourism. The only way to see the Canyon would've been by ziplining across the Canyon which it was 50 euros extra. My thing is:do not advertise something that we are not going to be able to see. I paid over 80 dollars for this trip, and if I had taken the zip line, another 50 euros on top of that. Not fair at all. At all. Black Lake was beautiful. And to tell you the truth, it was the only thing worth it seeing during the trip. The monasteries were ok, lots of breaks along the way to stop at tourist traps to spend more money here and there. In my opinion, Black Lake was not worth 80 plus dollars alone. Be aware: Tara Canyon you cannot see it, unless you open up your wallet more.
Although it was lovely to get into the mountains of Montenegro, the trip was very rushed, stopping at different locations for very short periods of time, especially Black Lake which was the main reason we booked the trip. Other locations were irrelevant and could have been missed off itinerary, allowing more time at more beautiful spots. We knew the excursion was both in English and Russian but did not think the guide would talk continuously about all manner of things, including her family history! After reading reviews in the food, we took our own lunch and snacks, which was ideal as we could eat where and when we wanted. We did however get something in the way back but it so long in getting it we had to take it away in napkins - good job the guide was served before everyone and sat and devoured her sandwich leaving families taking their children’s dinner away in boxes! For someone who has never been on an excursion tour before, I was very disappointed with the trip and would not recommend. It’s a shame, as the trip could be so much better.
It was a wonderful trip. Thanks to Marko for showing us
It was a long day, but well worth it. The guode never stopped talking and giving us information about Montenegro, she clearly loves her country. Shame we couldn't spend longer at some places though. 1hr at the lake is a bit misleading, the coach parked, we had a 20 mins walk to the lake, a 20 mins walk back, leaving 20 mins to swim and dry/change.
This is a fabulous way to see a good part of the country. It’s a long day but with lots of stops, it doesn’t feel too bad (until you hit the Budva rush hour traffic on your return). The lunch is really nice but at 20 Euros it’s quite a lot on top of the trip price and there are no alternatives (bring sandwiches). Liliana was a lovely guide with interesting historical tales. Loved the black lake swim! I feel we didn’t need the last stop but probably the driver did after a long day.
Although the price may seem unfair at first, it is an excellent long day with the right stops and the most perfect scenic journey. The views in the park were magnificent. Even more so was the excellent guide, Liliana, who did not miss a single detail. It was clear that she is very proud of her country and it made us feel proud of it too. She talked about history, geography, culture, and a bit of politics as well, most importantly she did it with enthusiasm!
A fab trip, with a long bus ride, but totally worth it. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and funny!
This is a great way to see a lot of the beautiful country of Montenegro. Our guide Anastasia and our driver Nicola were great. I wished we had more time at the lake and some of the stops like the “breakfast” stop and the last coffee stop seemed unnecessary. I also wished that our guide had talked a little more about some of the history of Montenegro, particularly about the time of communism/Yugoslavia.
We went with Gardasevic and have to say the whole day was wonderful, guide was extremely informative driver was really good, good valve for what we see would recommend.
