La segunda ruta más popular y de hecho una de las más bellas de la montaña es la Ruta de Machame. También conocida como la Ruta del Whisky, esta ruta es más larga y un poco más desafiante que la Ruta Marangu. Donde el alojamiento en la ruta de Marangu es en chozas, la ruta de Machame ofrece tiendas estrictamente. La ruta se adapta mejor al caminante un poco más aventurero, sin embargo lo recompensa con un esplendor escénico como el que no se ve en la ruta Marangu. Provisto de su desafío, alrededor del 80% de los excursionistas lo hace a la cumbre de África. We travelled with Tanzania specialist, and the trip was well organized. Our guide Wilson and his team were just perfect. Imme on hand if you needed something always friendly and a smile on your face, since hiking is fun. It is hard to imagine getting better value for such a reasonable price. From the first moment of contact the service was extremely professional, with prompt replies and detailed answers to all questions. Upon arrival everything was the same, with a warm greeting and set up in a good local hotel. As for the trek itself, the guide was very knowledgeable on local floral and fauna and was a very enjoyable trekking companion (I was alone), and all porters, cooks etc. employed by the company were professional and kind. Overall, I strongly recommend Twende for a great experience at a very reasonable price .
