Monte Alban Tour Guiado de Medio Dia

Miguel our guide made this a very informative and interesting tour. He was a very skilled and relaxed speaker with a wide range of knowledge about the ancient civilization we were visiting and how it was import and related to our modern society. I enjoyed the tour, the information, and the visit

We had a great tour with Miguel. You need to make sure you he’s your local guide. So much knowledge on the area and Monte Alban and this history. He’s got a gear sense of humour and we loved the trip.

The half-day visit is perfect for getting to know the most important parts of Monte Albán. The views are impressive, the guides have vast knowledge and make the tour very enjoyable.

Very knowledgeable guide Miguel! The tour was well organized including the transfer. You had a flexibility to stay longer or leave earlier thanks to shuttle buses

I had some problems finding the meeting place for the tour departure, because the travel agency's ad was a bit hidden; additionally, when we arrived to validate our tour, the travel agency officials were curt and unfriendly. Our tour was just my partner and me plus one other person, so I suspect the agency subcontracted the guide service at Monte Albán with another company; this was reflected in the fact that when we arrived, the tour guide had already started the explanation, which we didn't like, because we felt we had missed key explanations that we were interested in knowing. Regarding the guide, he was very kind and charismatic, he made us feel included and we felt we learned quite a bit from his explanation; however, the guided tour was quite fast (around 1 hour), which seemed too short to us, as we didn't get to ask about many of the details we were interested in. After that, he gave us free time to explore on our own, which I appreciate, although personally I would have liked more time for explanation from the guide. The transport was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning. It was a quick tour, from 9am to 1pm.

Monte Alban is incredible and beautiful!! We went in September so it was a lot cooler than previous months and there weren’t as many people. Our tour guide, Miguel, was incredible. He carefully took us through the ruins and gave us the history and details of each part which was fascinating. He is a fantastic tour guide and by the end we still had a little over an hour to explore the ruins ourselves and check out the monte Alban museum. I would note to make sure to wear and bring sunscreen because the ruins reflect a lot of sunlight.

More interesting and extensive than i expected. Hope you get Miguel as your guide since he was highly informative on history and culture— important. Suggest going to room III of the Oaxaca Museo de las Culturas beforehand. Ascending pyramids not difficult due to wide steps.

You have to do this! The tour guide was incredible and answered all of my questions. After the tour, you have time to roam around, visit the museum, and grab a bite to eat. This place was unlike anything I've ever seen. If you love history and learning- this is a must.

Nice experience, close to town so we didn’t have to ride so long to get there. Knowledgeable guide, amazing to be there in the ancient site.
