Este tour de Monkey Home y las cascadas de Damajagua ofrece recogida en todos los hoteles de Puerto Plata, así como en los puertos de cruceros de Taino Bay y Amber Cove. Un tour para estar atento a la vida silvestre como los monos ardilla sobre la marcha. Luego detente y, bajo la supervisión del personal, coloca un plato de fruta para que los monos se te acerquen. Después de su visita a Monkey Home, iremos hasta las Cascadas de Damajagua, donde podrá realizar el recorrido en 7 piscinas diferentes, saltando y deslizándose. A lo largo del recorrido, vea por sí mismo cómo un lugareño vive en la zona sin electricidad ni agua corriente. También conozca la historia y tradiciones culturales de esta isla caribeña.

Las Cascadas de Damajagua, también conocidas como las 27 Cascadas de Damajagua, son una serie de cascadas y pozas naturales ubicadas en la parte norte de la República Dominicana, cerca de Puerto Plata. Los visitantes pueden caminar a través de la selva, saltar, deslizarse y nadar a través de estas cascadas, por lo que es un lugar popular para el turismo de aventura y el ecoturismo. El nombre “Damajagua” hace referencia al río que alimenta las cascadas.
Visitarás Monkey Home donde podrás alimentar a los monos con fruta. Disfrute de un viaje suave hasta Moneky Home y disfrute de un viaje con conductores especiales que hablan inglés. Esté atento a la fauna silvestre, como los monos ardilla, sobre la marcha. Luego, detente y con la supervisión del personal, pon un plato de fruta para que los monos vengan a ti.
Esto es por el tiempo que estaremos en las dos direcciones del viaje.

Desde la reserva iniciamos el contacto con ustedes y nosotros de acuerdo a una recogida y nos instalamos para la llegada de los barcos para recogerlo, no importa en qué parte de la zona va a estar, también proporcionamos recogida dentro de Amber Cove, dentro de la bahía de Taino y dentro de todos los hoteles, villa y Arbnb en Puerto Plata.

This was by far my favourite excursion on my trip!! We had a lovely taxi driver named Jairo, he picked us up early in the morning, which gave me and my friend the chance to be the only and very first people to go up into the waterfalls as soon as they opened. Our guide Galvin was friendly and great at taking our pictures and videos, so so appreciative of him!! Visiting and sliding down these waterfalls is a must if you are visiting Puerto Plata it was so much fun, we really enjoyed ourselves. Make sure to have watershoes with you, or shoes you dont mind getting wet. Then Jairo took us to monkeyland where we were once again the only two people there which was working in our favour, I had such a sweet time with these monkeys, they were so playful and friendly i wish i could have taken one home. we also had the lovely chance of entering their butterfly conservatory. Jairo then dropped us off back at the hotel. Overall my absolute favourite excursion. This excursion is a must, you will have a blast!!!

Great experience with Aribel and Yeury Puerto Plata Travel. DR! Pickup was a breeze in a private Toyota van with AC. Aribel was very entertaining, a great driver, and kept us on schedule. The squirrel monkey experience was super fun. The waterfalls/pools was the best. We wish we could have stayed there all day! Aribel kept out belongings safe and waited at every stop for us. Highly recommend, especially for large families (we had 15).

It is a 45 minute trail hike up mountain. Not easy. I would suggest you wear water shoes for this. Do not try this if you are older or cannot walk at least a mile up an uphill trail in the heat and humidity. Need waterproof bag for electronics. You WILL get submerged. Everything you own will get soaked. Do not take a hate or sunglasses. Some of the waterfalls have about a 10 to 15 foot jump off a cliff. You dive into the bottom pool and you will be completely submerged. You will also have to swim but you do have life jackets on. One of the best excursions we have been on. 12 and 14 year old did great. The 1st stop is the monkeys. You will thoroughly enjoy this as the monkeys are super sweet. Then you go to the waterfalls afterwards. A locker is included so do take everything with you and place in locked. Women, do not just wear a bikini. Wear shorts over the bikini. You will be sliding down smooth rock slides into the water. But overall I would do it again.

Awesome experience! Would highly recommend! My husband, daughter and I were cruising and booked this thru TripAdvisor and so glad we did! The communication with Leury was great! He text the morning of introducing himself and we met him at Taino Bay just a short walk from the port. He played great music in his nice clean air condition taxi! We went to the waterfalls first he walked us in and helped us to navigate what we were to do! Picked us up and next stop was to monkey land! He stayed with us watched the time to make sure we got back to the ship on time! The entire experience was really great and would definitely book again!

Be prepared to hike up steep stairs to get to the waterfall. You will need water shoes! But great excursion

The men doing our tour in the monkey cage was amazing Exspecially the one who worked at sea world before he came to you was amazing . But both were great. And our tour guide was also very sweet and informative

The monkeys were cute but shy. Didn't need the rest of our first stop, but it was ok. Loved the waterfalls and the choice to jump or slide! It was a hike to make it to the top (gradual incline) but aged 7-70 we all made it no problem. Crowded initially but once we got to the first falls/jump it moved along greatly! Fun was had by all. Note:younger or less adventurous may struggle a little but the guides are an amazing and comforing help when needed! We'd certainly go again!

Like many animals, they can become a little more reserved when there are sudden loud noises or unexpected reactions around them.
