Javi was the best tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel and drive us to our destination. He was very educated about the history of Spain. He answered any question we had about the Monserrat. The views were beautiful as we took the cart up the location. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Spain.

Monastery was beautiful, great experience. Tour guide was amazing and super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere among the guests, even though we don’t speak the same language, it felt like we were very friendly with each other.

Great experience. Picked up at hotel and driven by van to base of Montserrat, where our collective group voted to take the tram to the top (worth it). Javi was our guide and he was fantastic... professional, friendly, knowledgeable, & entertaining w a great sense of humor. And from what we heard from others in our group who'd been w other guides from same tour company, altho all the guides sound fantastic, Javi was clearly the favorite w his fun sense of humor & very personable personality. Re the tour, the whole site, starting at the base of the tram, the complex at the top, and all I observed between, was stunningly beautiful (natural beauty & manmade beauty). And, even though we're not particularly religious, I was taken by how deeply moved many visitors were. Among other things, there was a continual stream of people waiting to stand in a circle in the middle of the square outside the Monastery (many of them were praying in bare feet). As we were walking out of the Basilica, the church bells began ringing majestically, which certainly added powerfully to the moment. We also took the funicular higher (also worth it for an AMAZING view). I would've actually liked more time to hike & explore around the top of the hill where the funicular takes you. And before leaving the mountain, we enjoyed some very tasty nuts, cheese & honey from a local merchant, Alva (the last seller, or one of the last, along the road... very sweet woman who ignited a debate among our group about whether Javi has a crush on her or not... I voted yes. And we expect regular updates🙂). Overall, a fascinating, educational, & entertaining excursion*. I'd recommend saving time for the top of the funicular if you're a hiker. And go visit Alva & the other vendors. I wish I had more time to try more honeys, nuts, & cheeses. *at least our specific group was very entertaining... again, Javi's sense of humor was terrific & it mixed hysterically well w our group. We laughed a lot. Ya never know w group tours & we definitely lucked out. But it sounds like this company has top quality guides regardless of who you get (& we hope you get other guests as fun as ours).

Excellent tour. The guide, Ramon had both English and Spanish-speaking patrons on the tour and he seamlessly changed back and forth without any trouble. He was knowledgeable and genuine in his demeanor and I could tell he truly enjoys his work.

What an incredible experience! Our day at Montserrat was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Spain, and Javi made it even more special. He was so energetic, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He shared fascinating stories about Montserrat, the monastery, and the history of the area in such an engaging way that we were interested the entire time. He also showed us beautiful viewpoints, gave us great tips, and made sure we had enough time to explore, enjoy the scenery, and take lots of pictures. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the atmosphere was unforgettable, and Javi made the whole day feel fun, relaxed, and exciting from beginning to end. We had SO much fun and would 100% recommend this tour. Javi is truly the best guide!
