La imponente Catedral de Se es el edificio religioso más emblemático de Lisboa. Desde el siglo XII, la Catedral de Se se ha entrelazado en la historia temprana de Portugal y fue el primer edificio religioso construido por los cruzados cristianos del siglo XII.
Fundada en el siglo XII por el rey Afonso Henriques, fue dedicada al santo patrón de Lisboa, San Vicente de Zaragoza. Aunque sufrió graves daños durante el terremoto de 1755, el edificio actual data del siglo XVI.
La construcción comenzó en 1628 y solo se completó en el siglo XX, de modo que Obras de Santa Engrácia (literalmente Las obras de Saint Engrácia) se ha convertido en un sinónimo portugués de un proyecto de construcción sin fin.
Un punto de vista memorable con una vista impresionante que domina los tejados de Alfama y el río Tajo, a poca distancia del Castillo de San Jorge, Portas do Sol es el lugar donde realmente puede contemplar y apreciar Lisboa.

We had a fabulous tour yesterday in the very capable and knowledgeable hands of Tiago Netto. It was a packed 4 hours worth of absorbing many of the sights that Lisbon offers. From the amazing Churches to the Monument to the Discoveries. We also tasted the most delicious Pastel de Nata and not from the original pastry shop! Tiago also gave us some restaurant recommendations, one of which we followed up at lunchtime today. It was the best we have tasted In Lisbon. Thank you Tiago for a fun and informative afternoon.

We did a Lisbon tour with Mario and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip. We were a group of 7 friends and everything felt easy, relaxed, and very well organized from the start. We had the best time in Lisbon with Tiago as our tour guide. He arrived early to meet us and his TukTuk was comfortable and clean. He asked us what we wanted out of the tour, we told him, and he delivered. Being a native, he was able to provide a wonderful tour of the city (some popular sites and also some local non-tourist sites) with a lot of historical facts. He took us from one side of the city to the other and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend Tiago!

Tiago gave us a great 2-hour tour! We told him the places we had already been, and he adjusted the route to show us new areas that we hadn't seen, and some of his own favorite places. He spoke good English and had lots of interesting stories to tell. He stopped in a few places for photos and at two shops. We didn't check prices for rentals on the street, so I'm not sure how their rates compare.

Tuktuk ride arranged by hotel (cost 220 euros) was unsatisfactory. I am very surprised to see so many highly rated reviews. The driver Mario was very pleasant and knowledgeable; a lovely man. However, the tuktuk was very difficult to get in and out of (we're quite nimble but this would be a real problem for some people); the ride was unbelievably bumpy resulting in me feeling quite nauseous; but the biggest problem was that we could see hardly anything because of the way the vehicle roof is structured. In order to see anything at all, we had to sit bent double and even then our view was blocked by the low roof. For a sightseeing tour this is quite unacceptable and not a great way to spend 4 hours!
