A su llegada a Milford Sound, su crucero natural de dos horas le espera a bordo de nuestro barco asociado de cruceros: el Milford Haven. Paramos en el hermoso municipio de Te Anau por un descanso prolongado de 30 minutos. Paramos en una cafetería frente al lago para que pueda tomar un café / aperitivo, usar el baño y explorar la impresionante orilla del lago con vistas a la montaña.
Eglinton Valley ofrece un contraste impresionante de montañas cubiertas de arbustos nativos y verdes, en primer plano de los campos de bronceado. Los huéspedes tendrán la oportunidad de explorar los largos campos exuberantes. Hermosa en cualquier época del año.
Este corto paseo natural de 2 minutos por pistas y paseos marítimos bien formados lo tendrá en los tranquilos lagos Mirror, el telón de fondo de las montañas Earl detrás de ellos. Este es un desafío para cualquier fotógrafo viajero para capturar la esencia de los lagos - su reflejo espejo.
Paramos más en el valle de Eglinton en Knobs Flat Camp para usar los baños. Esta parada está a aproximadamente 60 minutos de Te Anau, nuestro descanso anterior para ir al baño.
Nos detendremos en el Mirador Hollyford, situado en lo alto del Valle Hollyford. Aquí obtendrá una apreciación por los glaciares que labraron estos valles. Una oportunidad para tomar fotos y estirar las piernas.
Monkey Creek es una hermosa cascada/arroyo alimentado por glaciares y es un área común para conocer al Kea, un loro de montaña que solo se encuentra en la Isla Sur de Nueva Zelanda. Esta es una oportunidad para tomar una foto cercana de estas aves descaradas.
Paramos justo fuera del túnel Homer en el lado occidental, con vistas al magnífico valle de Cleddau. Rodeado de escalones verticales de las caras de las montañas, mirará por el valle hasta nuestra ruta hacia Milford Sound. Uno de los momentos más destacados del día.
Nuestro destino para el tour es el hermoso Milford Sound, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Pasamos 2,5 horas en Milford Sound, principalmente a bordo de su crucero por la naturaleza donde experimentará todo el fiordo, encuentros con la vida silvestre, cascadas y toda la belleza paisajística que hay que ver.
Volvemos a Queenstown, a través del municipio de Te Anau (la única ruta de regreso) y paramos para que pueda recoger algo de comida para la cena y usar el baño.

Tommy was our tour guide on our first-ever trip with Luxe Tours from Queenstown to Milford Sound, and he made the whole experience unforgettable. The tour was absolutely worth the cost, and we’d love to do it again in the future. Tommy was friendly, approachable, and made the day feel relaxed from start to finish. Although it was a long day, we never felt bored or exhausted - it has been one of my highlight trips of all time. Tommy took heaps of photos for our group, shared great knowledge and stories about Milford Sound and the stops along the way, and even gave us some awesome local recommendations for our return back to Queenstown. The bus was super comfortable with plenty of leg room, and we appreciated being able to relax and even get some sleep on the drive back to Queenstown. One of the best parts was the small group size — only six people — which made the experience feel much more personal compared to the larger tour buses around. having less people compared to a tour buses meant the entire experience was very comfortable (we had time to truly enjoy each site and take photos without being rushed etc). the whole day just felt comfortablr and well organised. the guide tommy was also very friendly and his commentary about the sites etc the entire day while driving was genuinely so interesting and informative. would highly recommend

We recently did this tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The scenery was incredible, but the real highlight of the trip was our tour guide, Adrian. Adrian, was friendly, highly informative, funny, and just an all-round legend. He made the whole journey enjoyable from start to finish and really added so much to the experience with his knowledge and personality. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. The smaller sized group made it possible to stop at different locations along the way which made it much more personal. We highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed.

OMG! Where do I start? First of all to apologise it’s taken me so long to write a review - certainly not because the service wasn’t amazing!! I cannot praise and thank Adrian enough. There is nothing I can write to describe how amazing our trip to Milford sound really was; one of the best days and our favourite part of our trip to NZ. And that was all thanks to Adrian. We couldn’t have been luckier to have such a lovely, kind, thoughtful, funny, entertaining and truly wonderful guide. Adrian went above and beyond for us - with the entertaining and informative info and stories he had, the way he checked in with us to see if we were enjoying ourselves or if we needed anything, the way he never once complained about being asked to take a thousand photos for me, and the way he just made our tour absolutely amazing. It snowed on our trip and I have to praise him also for his careful and responsible driving - we felt extremely safe with him. It was such a long day, but we didn’t want it to end and would have been very happy to stay on the bus for longer 😊 Honestly, this day made our NZ trip amazing. What an amazing day touring Milford Sound! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking - stunning mountains everywhere you looked, beautiful waterfalls cascading down the cliffs, and views that felt like something out of a movie. What a wonderful experience! All starts with our awesome driver/guide, Tommy. Very knowledgeable and friendly person. He took care of every detail and made sure we were always save and comfortable. The road trip portion is full of incredible sites and navigating across the fiord is as magic and it Sounds. I would take this tour again without hesitation.
