Beautiful church; many stairs. Tour guide was excellent; weather was very hot-which he navigated well.
Our original tour was canceled and replaced with Duomo and rooftop tour. Guide was excellent, engaged with all members of tour group, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Excellent tour.
The guide was inexperienced Kind n friendly Il Domo was amazing inside n nice in the outside. Lots of steps (up n down 180 steps total). The $128 per person with the double decker bus plus il domo tour was too overpriced. Do everything separately go for an experienced guide. Book the double decker bus tours (on n off) in front of the Domo on your own. You can see two different bus companies in front of Il Domo. Much cheaper that way. Book on the day you have some time when you want to put your feet up but still see the views in Milan. This $128 was NOT worth it.
Dear P6626S, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed visiting the Duomo, one of Milan's most extraordinary landmarks. We are, however, sorry to read your comments regarding the Tour Guide. As your review was posted under a nickname, we are unfortunately unable to identify your booking or determine which guide accompanied your tour. If you contact us directly with your booking reference and tour date, we will be happy to investigate your feedback, as we take comments about our guides very seriously. Regarding the price, we would like to clarify that the tour includes much more than admission to the Duomo. The experience includes a licensed professional Tour Guide, pre-booked entrance tickets, skip-the-line access, access to the Duomo terraces by elevator, and the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus ticket. While there are still some stairs to reach certain areas of the terraces, this is unavoidable. The Duomo is a 700-year-old historic monument, and elevators cannot be installed throughout the entire structure without compromising its architectural and historical integrity. Finally, while visitors are of course free to organize each activity independently, many of our guests choose this experience precisely for the convenience of having everything arranged in advance, avoiding ticket queues and enjoying the expertise of a licensed local guide (and we are proud to say that we have thousands of positive feedbacks about it). We hope you will contact us directly so that we can identify your guide and investigate your comments. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards, Camilla
Nina is experienced and gave us an insight into history and details of both duomo and Lascala. Sitting in the boxes with her explaining was like seeing the visuals of yesterday years
Tour guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant.
Tour guide was great, informative with a touch of sense of humor 👏, but allowed to be inside of the theater due to a play rehearsal going on, only view it through a transparent plastic viewing window from above.
While the tour of the Duomo was cancelled we were able to enjoy La Scala. With the changing of the tour my app, email & text gave us the wrong time. So when we arrived at our scheduled time the host seemed upset. La Scala is beautiful and there was a lot of interesting information about the history. We were able to see the interior, a model of the theater and many interesting artifacts. We did feel our tour guide was quite abrupt in that we passed a hall of posters of the original operas and were told if we want pictures to come back after the tour. He was rude to a group of gentlemen who were quietly talking next to him as he was explaining the model to us. He said they were interrupting his tour (even though they were seated before we got there) and he asked them to be quiet. Honestly, our family never heard the other people. He could have easily walked to the other side of the table away from the men, but instead made them uncomfortable and they left. The tour felt a little rushed as he was told us several times that he wanted to stay ahead of all the other tours. I would recommend this tour, but not with the guide we had.
Samantha is an excellent and knowledgeable guide and made the visit so much more enjoyable. The Duomo is a masterpiece of gothic architecture and having the specific details pointed out to us made the difference.
Samantha was an amazing tour guide! She was so knowledgeable about both the theatre and the Duomo. She was so personable and friendly. The only challenge we had was finding the meeting place for the tour because it was not clearly indicated where in the plaza we were to meet.
Great tour, perfect for what your looking for. A must do! Had a great time. Amazing day seeing soo much, don't miss this tour
