Este es un tour gastronómico donde paseamos por algunas partes no turísticas de Atenas, explorando la rica historia culinaria que ha influido en nuestra cultura y tradiciones. Nuestro viaje comienza en la estación de metro Panepistimio, plaza Korai, donde nos encontramos con un quiosco tradicional para Koulouri, considerado como el griego para ir a desayunar. En cada parada, compartiré la historia de fondo del producto o comida, destacando su papel significativo en nuestra cocina a lo largo de la historia. En el camino, puedes esperar anécdotas interesantes y divertidas que se sumen a la experiencia. Uno de los aspectos más destacados del recorrido incluye visitar la primera pastelería de la ciudad, establecida después de la independencia griega. Aquí, tendremos el placer de degustar las tradicionales rosquillas de estilo griego.

Our family had a wonderful time on this tour - kids (14 and 18) say it was a highlight of the entire trip! Anna and George were wonderful hosts and tour guides, weaving together history of cuisine with history of the country. We tasted meats, seafood, olives, honey, doughnuts, pies and tea - a very tasty, educational and all around wonderful experience. To our delight, our family of 4 was joined for the tour by two locals living in Athens. Communication from the hosts was excellent. Really, can't say enough good things about this tour - 10/10 recommend!!
Anna was such a lovely host to my family on our street food tour. She gave some history of Athens, as well as taking us to many local eats that her and her family have eaten for many years. The food we ate while in the tour was delicious! We had a great variety of sweet and savory foods. We visited a spice shop, the Municipal Market, Olive tasting, and many restaurants. This tour was full of hidden gems we would have never visited on our own! She also gave us great recommendations of places to try on our own time.
I brought my 18-year old daughter and her friend on this amazing experience. I cannot recommend it enough. Our co-guides were so kind and also wonderfully informative.
