Mercado de Lisboa y recorrido gastronómico con clase de cocina y almuerzo

I had a great experience on this tour! Going to the local fish market and veggie stand was such an incredible experience, especially because I live in the Midwest of the United States, where it is difficult to find fresh fish. We made so many incredible dishes. The grilled sardines were my favorite. I took this tour on 7/7/26, and unfortunately I don’t remember the name of our chef. She was great though.

From shopping for ingredients to eating our meal, Samara and Fernanda's class was a delight from start to finish. The entire experience was educational, the atmosphere was always friendly, and I'm excited to try these recipes at home.

Our family of 5 ranging from age 20 to age 80 enjoyed every moment of this cooking experience! Our chef was so knowledgeable about the market, Portuguese history and food, and so calm and friendly. We met at 9:30 and started with a tour of the market. Then we cooked and ate until 3pm; the pace was leisurely and pleasant - not at all rushed- with plenty of time for questions and learning. And the food was excellent, if I do say so myself as one of the cooks. We made gazpacho, clams, fish rice, tempura green beans, sardines with roasted peppers on corn bread (the highlight of the meal), cataplana with chorizo, and poached pears. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed every moment.

We had an amazing food tour experience in Lisbon with Pablo as our guide. He was friendly, helpful, informative, and incredibly personable from start to finish. The tour included 6 different stops, each with fantastic food and drinks that gave us a great taste of the city. What really made the experience stand out was how Pablo went beyond just the food. He shared fascinating insights about Lisbon’s art, history, and architecture, which made exploring the city feel even more meaningful. He was also full of great local tips and suggestions that helped us make the most of the rest of our trip. Highly recommend this tour (and especially Pablo) to anyone visiting Lisbon!

I didn't know exactly what to expect. I do a lot of cooking & travel for food. It was overall excellent experience starting with the traditional market to pick up the produce, then heading to the well set up kitchen. The instructions were clear & the presentation style was excellent. All questions regarding the ingredients were welcomed. Having done similar style cooking classes in many other countries, this was among the best.

A standout experience in Lisbon. The market visit and cooking class with Cooking Lisbon was the perfect mix of culture and fun. Renata was exceptional. She was incredibly detailed in explaining the ingredients and traditions and made the entire experience feel easy and enjoyable. The food was amazing and ended up being some of the best we had on our trip. Highly recommend for a true taste of Lisbon.

Our family had a wonderful time going to the market and enjoying the traditional Portuguese meal cooking class. We had two boys with us and they really enjoyed learning, cooking, and having the best authentic Portuguese meal that they made! This is a highly recommended activity if you are visiting as a family.
