Yassine is great, offering a knowledgeable yet funny tour through the streets and sights of the Marrakech medina. I highly recommend booking this tour to get your footing in the crowded old medina.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm thrilled to hear you had such a great experience with Yassine.
Today we joined the tour led by Yassin. Me and my boyfriend had a great time! We had a lot of fun because he is nice, prepared and engaging. We had a nice tour that we highly recommend! We walked through the Medina, passed Palais Bahia, Mandrasa, stopped at a local pharmacy where we bought some spice and argan oil and saffron. An experience to do!! Especially with Yassin who makes you live the real Moroccan air 😍
Yassine made every moment of the tour special, from the Bahia palace, Ben Youssef Medersa, to the souks of the Medina. Very knowledgable, funny, and polite. He answered every question we had in mind and brought Marrakech to life. Thank you for making the tour the best it can be- highly recommended!
It was an absolute pleasure guiding you through the magic of Marrakech. Showing you the serene beauty of the Bahia Palace, the ancient wisdom of the Ben Youssef Medersa,
Yassin was great! Lots of humanity and desire to work. Guided tour in English but easy to understand even for an Italian.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm truly delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it easy to understand. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and I'm glad my guiding was clear and accessible. We hope to see you again on another adventure soon!"
Booking the tour online, (GetYourGuide), was relatively easy however, the given ‘meeting place’ and when there, trying to locate/identify our guide was chaotic. The meet location was outside a restaurant, at the edge of the Medina square. Upon arrival we found that this was also the meeting place for a number of walking tours, being provided by a number of different tour companies and dozens of people milling around in a similar position to us ! With no help from the tour provider, we did eventually ‘find’ our guide, 30 minutes after the given meet time, which was stressful. Our group, consisting of 7 people, was led by Muhammad. He was an experienced guide being very informative and patient, answering all our groups questions about the history of the various locations visited. Handily, by being on an organised tour, we bypassed the queues, going straight in upon arrival. When in the Souk’s, he led us to the older part, where the traders were generally selling genuinely produced goods, as opposed to the newer places where China produced goods were being sold ! He also took us to 3 businesses, the proprietor’s of which he personally knew, each of whom gave product explanations/demonstrations before we were invited to buy. Definitely worth doing an organised trip in view of the queue ‘jumping’ and information/history provided. The Palace and Medersa Ben Youssef are sites of great historical importance in the history of Marrakech, as are the genuine Souks.
I would highly recommend booking this tour with Yassine. We are staying in the old city and decided to book this tour at the beginning of our trip to get a better sense of where everything is and how to navigate around. Yassine was not only super helpful in this regard but also very knowledgeable about every detail. We got a thorough tour of the main sights, but he also brought us to many obscure places we would never have stumbled upon without him, including a Moroccan rug experience, a traditional Moroccan pharmacy, and a pashmina souk shop. He gladly took us to a synagogue upon request and shared some very interesting stories about Moroccan Jewish culture. He is charismatic and super enjoyable to be around and listen to. His English is very clear and will recommend him to my friends and family whenever they visit Morocco.
Exceptional Experience with Yassine Our recent tour with Yassine as our guide was an absolute delight! From start to finish, he provided an exceptional experience that made our trip unforgettable. Yassine’s command of English is excellent, making it easy to follow along as he explained the history and significance of each tourist spot. He went into great detail, sharing fascinating stories and insights that brought the locations to life. His passion and deep knowledge about the area’s history, culture, and landmarks were evident throughout the tour. Beyond his expertise, Yassine was personable and attentive, ensuring everyone in the group felt included and had their questions answered. He also took time to recommend hidden gems and tips for exploring further, which was a fantastic bonus. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, engaging, and professional guide, Yassine is a perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend him for anyone visiting! Thank you, Yassine, for making our journey so memorable!
Marrakech is a visit-worth place anyway but Yassine made it even better. The itinerary itself isn’t that special but the comments during the visits of both the madressa and the palace were helpful and deepened my understanding of both places. We had two expert bargainers on the tour resulting in a lot of fun, a big delay and some bargains. What a memorable experience!
