The Captain and crew were very knowledgeable and so nice and friendly! The sail was very relaxing and the ice cream.....Yum! Would definitely recommend this!
Fun and relaxing , friendly crew … could have given more TC history , pointing out areas of interest.
Hi Stacey, it's great to hear you enjoyed your time onboard, and have an appetite for history on top of the ice cream! If you want more local knowledge, we recommend considering one of our specialized programs, which go deeper into local ecology and wildlife, history, or beverages. Regardless, we hope we'll see you back onboard, and thank you for the review!
The sail was first class. The crew friendly and professional. The tour started on time and the crew’s priority was for us to have a great experience. Mission accomplished! The ice cream was delicious with one of the flavors unique only to the Manitou. I would highly recommend this tour.
Hi Walter, we love to get that mission accomplished badge! You nailed it, we are aiming to get the details like timing and safety out of your way, and ensure every passenger can have an amazing summer experience out on the water. We hope we'll see you back again soon!
Surprised Grandma (who used to Sail) with a Tall Ship Sail around West Bay TC If your ever up her highly recommended! It’s Beautiful! Kids are welcome (& even get to drive) it was a 2 hr tour and the crew were fantastic! The office staff were AMAZING! Even allowed for the us to use the chair lift so Grandma didn’t have to do the stairs!! Amazing experience!!!
Thank you so much for choosing Manitou for your surprise venue for your Grandma! We love hosting experienced and green sailors, and it's great to hear your group had a good experience with our staff and crew. We are especially glad to hear we were able to help accommodate everyone's needs. We hope to see you back onboard soon!
Exhilarating experience! So neat to see how the tall ship and its sails and crew work together! We loved being a part of it and getting to help out a teeny bit.
Thanks for joining us for a sail, Kurt, and you can be sure, we appreciate all the help we can get wrangling the sails. We hope you'll be back for another sail soon.
We had a great time! The captain and crew were there to answer questions and we even got to help raise the sails. The views are wonderful and the captain gave a short informative and interesting talk about the history of the region. The ice cream was yummy and the prices for other drinks, etc were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!
Hi Murray, thanks so much for the review and for joining us on a sail. We appreciate the chance to share our amazing boat and bay with visitors, and we hope you'll be back on the water with us again soon.
Cheaper if you buy at dock. Very little come tary on what we were sailing by. However it was arelaxing afternoon
Hi Susan, you are correct that we are forced to charge some extra fees depending on processing method. We do our best to keep our prices fair, to ensure as many people as possible can get out on the water with us. All customers are welcome to book with us directly. We are glad you had a relaxing time onboard, and we hope you'll consider joining us again.
Amazing experience!!! Don’t miss out!
Hi Pam, thanks so much for the lovely review and for joining us for an afternoon of ice cream and magic on the bay. We hope to see you back on the water soon!
Always bring a jacket. I wore a winter coat and was very comfortable. It was a beautiful day. The lake was calm and crystal blue. I would repeat this again.
Hi Bernadette, thanks for this helpful advice for future passengers! It's often one layer cooler on the water, and especially in the spring, a heavy jacket helps. We are very glad to hear you were able to have a great time, and we hope we do see you back again!
I went with my mom and toddler daughter. Our ride was at 3:30pm. You go out for about 50 mins, stop for about 20 mins - this is when they served us ice cream (ice cream was tasty and good amount), and then 50 mins ride back. During the ride the crew came to talk to everyone, introduced themselves, just had a conversation. Crew was all young people. They were nice. On the land forecast was 60F but on the water we were wearing down jackets. It only felt nice when sun shone on your face. In the shade (from the sails) it felt cold. Early in the ride crew asked us to help them with the sail rise, that was fun. On the way back, captain gave us some history about the place. I have never been on a sail boat so it was nice overall experience - nothing crazy - you just sit, relax and enjoy the view.
Thank you for describing your experience onboard in such detail. Depending on the weather, the vessel will sail a different course every day -- that's part of the adventure. The water is always in motion, and although we might not be sailing fast, Manitou is, too. It's true we always ask for help setting sail, which can be a good way to warm up! And yes, it's usually cooler on the water. Every sail is different, so we hope you'll consider coming back for another experience with us.
