I discovered when I got in the bus that I could have got my ticket in the bus for half the price Viator charged
Everything good , my family came to visit Manchester and they liked the tour, everyone was happy …….
Great way to see the city. Easy to book online nd resonably priced for just over and hour. Good clear commentary. Busy but not packed. Perfect half term activity.
This is the worse sightseeing bus that I have ever been, and I have been in many. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review for a sightseeing bus, but it was so bad that I had to make this review. I took this bus unfortunately in Manchester on October 2, 2025. The driver was the unfriendliest person, in a really bad mood, with curt responses, not even when directly asked about the times for pick up. He pretty much told us the wrong time. The times for the pick up in between stops were huge so it was a lot of waiting time in between sites. Idk if there are more busses going around but for us was always the same driver, so it looked like it was only one bus going around. The bus was old, and the explanations were done aloud with bad speakers so it was difficult to understand. Specially for someone that English is not their first language and are paying for a guided tour for obvious reasons. They don’t provide earphones with explanations translated in different language. Overall the experience was really bad. Don’t waste your money on this. I ended taking an uber to get back to my hotel because the waiting time was unbearable..
Very interesting history. Don't miss visiting Science and Industry museum fantastic. A great place for kids and adults.
Never book on a Sunday. and this should not be available for Sunday bookings too. We booked and waited for hours and hours for the bus only it never came. Annoying
The tour times are earlier in the day with 2pm being the last one. Aldo not a lot of buses do you’ll wait a period of time if you get off until the next one arrives.
This is not worth the money. An old bus that leaks from the light fittings and a sound system that frequently exceeded 100 decibels during pre recorded commentary ( checked with a sub meter on my phone). The bus has poor visibility from the bottom deck and the seating on the top deck is no good for anyone over 6 feet. You are probably better to get any bus in Manchester and read the Manchester Wikipedia page as you drive around. It will probably be more coordinated than the commentary and drive of the tour.
I was very happy to see a great part of Manchester, especially Mediacity with all the exciting events to know about. I will attend some of them and Salford itself.
Visited from Scotland with 2 young children. Tour was very informative and a great break for little legs. Hopped off twice at the museum of science and industry and media city. Bus driver was helpful in directing us to where we needed to go and times to be back for the last bus back. Will be recommending to family and friends.
