¡Ven y vive la magia de Cholula y Atlixco! Comienza tu aventura explorando el imponente Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, el histórico Convento de San Gabriel Arcángel y la majestuosa Gran Pirámide de Cholula, el basamento piramidal más grande del mundo. Disfruta de tiempo libre en la Plaza de la Concordia, donde podrás deleitarte con la gastronomía local, tomar fotos y llevarte recuerdos únicos. Luego, sumérgete en el colorido encanto de Atlixco, donde podrás adquirir plantas y flores frescas en sus viveros y conocer los rincones más emblemáticos de su zócalo, Parroquia de Santa María de la Natividad, las famosas Escaleras Anchas punto obligado para foto instagrameable, el ex convento franciscano, y el mirador panorámico de cristal.

Itinerario
Nuestro tour comenzará con la visita a Cholula, reconocido como Pueblo Mágico por su riqueza histórica y cultural. Visitaremos la Gran Pirámide de Cholula, el basamento piramidal más grande del mundo por volumen. En la cima se encuentra el Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, templo del siglo XVI con una hermosa vista del valle. Después nos dirigiremos al Ex Convento de San Gabriel, uno de los conjuntos franciscanos más antiguos de México, construido en el siglo XVI. Destaca por su arquitectura sobria y su amplia capilla abierta, clave en la evangelización de la región. Continuaremos en la Plaza de la Concordia, corazón de la ciudad, rodeada de portales tradicionales. Finalmente visitaremos el Templo de Santa María Tonantzintla, célebre por su interior barroco indígena de los siglos XVII y XVIII, ejemplo del sincretismo entre la tradición indígena y la fe católica.
Nos dirigiremos al Pueblo Mágico de Atlixco, ciudad con raíces prehispánicas y gran importancia durante la época colonial por su producción agrícola y textil. Gracias a su clima privilegiado y coloridos viveros, hoy es conocido como “Atlixco de las Flores”. Nuestra primera parada será en el mirador del Cerro de San Miguel, un sitio emblemático coronado por la capilla dedicada al Arcángel San Miguel, construida en el siglo XVI. Este cerro fue un antiguo centro ceremonial y actualmente es uno de los puntos más representativos de la ciudad. Desde su cima podrás disfrutar de vistas espectaculares y tomarte increíbles fotografías con los volcanes Popocatépetl e Iztaccíhuatl como majestuoso fondo.
En nuestra tercera y última parada visitaremos el Ex Convento del Carmen, fundado en 1608 por franciscanos al pie del Cerro de San Miguel. Dedicado a la Virgen del Carmen, es un referente histórico y religioso de la ciudad. Al descender conoceremos las tradicionales Escaleras Anchas, cuyos escalones fueron intervenidos con murales del artista local Juan Manuel Martínez Caltenco, con motivos florales que representan la identidad de Atlixco. Después haremos una pausa en Ximitl Heladería para degustar helados artesanales de temporada. Continuaremos por la Calle de las Flores hacia el zócalo para admirar el Kiosco de Atlixco, decorado con mosaico, y la Parroquia de Santa María de la Natividad, del siglo XVII, finalizando con los murales del Palacio Municipal.

We were expecting a more walking tour of the cities but it was still ok going solo on our own. We booked a Spanish tour by error so we had to wing it. It’s was a few churches visit and shopping area like a Mercado mainly for the tour in both cities visited.

We had a wonderful experience on this tour. We appreciated the flexibility that Pablo showed us in taking us to visit some of the places that we requested, both in Cholula and Atlixco. The van was clean and the driver went out of his way to drop us off at home. Both destinations are a must for anyone new to the Puebla area. So much history in Cholula and Atlixco is one of the most charming Pueblo Magico cities that we've seen in Mexico This was my second trip with Bufon Tours and they are a first class company...well organized, reasonably priced, and flexible

The guide very professional, friendly and nice. The tour was scheduled for 9:00, which changed to 10:00, so we had no problem, thinking that the estimated tour time would be covered. I missed the visit to the nursery and the lunch time in Atlixco, from the visit to the nursery, told us that there was no longer time, our mistake was not to require him to take us. of the lunch time I do not even mention it, I only recommend a restaurant, in case we were interested in returning later. The tour ended at approximately 2:30.
