Elder went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and stress-free. Pickup times were communicated in advance and everything was on-time and organized well. Elder gave interesting insights into Machu Picchu and life in Peru. 100% recommended.
The experience was pleasant. The only thing is that we booked online three months before the day of the event, and our reservation was at 1:00 P.M. and later we ended up finding out that the computer made a mistake and that our reservation was for 9:00 in the morning, so we had to make a lot of changes at the last minute and we had a lot of inconveniences due to this situation that happened three weeks before when they should have communicated that this error had happened in time, but perhaps they didn't know either until I had to contact them by phone to confirm that everything was fine, and that is when I found out what was happening, but at the end of the day, after we made those changes to arrive earlier to catch the morning tour everything flowed normally and the tour was able to be accomplished as expected so I recommend that you try to maintain good communication with the person who is going to be in charge of you in advance so that you ensure that all the information is correct and you don't have problems at the last minute like we had, but I do recommend them because they did fulfill their commitment and I suggest that you make your reservation well in advance so that you have better options
It was a great experience. Elder pretty much the best tour guide I ever had, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Viator sold me tickets that were not available. I received a WhatsApp call the night before telling me there are no 10am tickets. And my only choice was to take the 7am tickets. I also did not get the circuit I purchased, with the views I wanted.
Elmer was the best guide I could have had. Kind, fast in lines, and very knowledgeable about the place (and an excellent photographer!). The person in charge of Cosmo Expeditions, Jonathan, was also very helpful and very kind. But both Viator and TripAdvisor guaranteed my reservation for a day in August when there were no tickets. A week before my visit to Machu Picchu, with the whole trip organized, they canceled my visit!!! Only through my persistence on the phone with Cosmo Expeditions and thanks to Jonathan was I able to solve it: they rescheduled my visit for a day earlier. I had to modify all the reservations, but it was worth it. Conclusion: Viator/TripAdvisor sell spots without having confirmation of availability.
Dennis, who booked our tickets, was dedicated about both communication and adjusting to our needs, despite it being a last minute booking. Our tour guide, Cesar, was knowledgeable and passionate about Machu Pichu. He knew a lot of people in the park, and as a result it was a seamless and enjoyable experience. Afterward, he rode the bus with us and made sure we made it to a good place for lunch before our train departed. If you're going to Machu Pichu, book through Dennis, and make sure you ask for Cesar as your guide. 10 stars out of 5. Amazing.
This tour with Elder was wonderful! He was an informative, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. He gave us a great tour of Machu Picchu. The pick-up, bus ride, and entrance tickets were seamless and Elder handled it all. I would highly recommend this tour!!
It’s a great experience. Elder was very informative about the history of the area and helped answer all my questions. He also was patient about waiting for me to catch my breath as we climbed. The air is very thin so be ready for that. Highly recommend this activity.
Machu Picchu is breathtakingly beautiful, important and a powerful place to experience. But it was our guide Jorge Elder who made it a REAL day to remember. He was friendly, knowledgeable (everything from the structures, history to the flora and fauna) and elevated an already amazing experience. If you ever consider coming to Machu Picchu, he is your man!!
