Lovely experience. Great pick up at the hotel. Guide eqs really great and helpful. We booked during sunset hours which was a great experience.

First of all, it is not a ‘luxury’ boat. It is a normal boat: it has pillows, it’s clean and safe. Secondly, the “dinner” is only available if you select that option. The captain is an affable, polite and respectful person who speaks English well and guides you through Banana Island, which has ostriches, a crocodile, monkeys, a donkey and a horse. It also has different fruits and vegetables. The experience on the island is very rustic and peaceful. The Nile sunset is beautiful and it’s a very relaxing experience. It takes about two hours. I would recommend that you do this around 6:30 pm as the June heat is oppressive.

Mohamed and the Egypt Getaway Tours team were professional, patient, and welcoming throughout our experience. While the sunset cruise was on a motorboat rather than a traditional felucca, the ride was enjoyable and the dinner was excellent. They also coordinated our hot air balloon excursion, and when flights were canceled due to weather, they promptly hand-delivered a full refund in USD cash, which we greatly appreciated. A must do for Luxor! We did the sunset sail with islam and Mohammed + crew. They made the experience truly memorable and catered to all our needs with soft drink, water tea and even played some traditional music which we all sung along and danced to. An experience we will remember forever.

This was truly amazing. Really nice guys, amazing and relaxing brief journey through the Nile, with great views. They even take you to a nice spot where you can get out and feel the fresh waters of the Nile.

We made our reservation with this tour. We found out that we could not go for personal reason. They were so understanding and they actually helped us to solve our personal problem. There was a gentleman name Islam. He was so caring and helpful.. I recommend the Tour because they were on time and very professional.. they even bought a cake for our birthday celebration. They refunded the ticket right away since we could not attended. Very nice and caring people. Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful experience. We were picked up directly from our hotel dock, and the captain gave us a very warm welcome. We sailed along the Nile, and during sunset Captain Abdul stopped the boat in the middle of the river so we could enjoy dinner with an amazing view. He provided us with drinks throughout the trip and explained many interesting things about the Nile and the surroundings After dinner, we sat on the roof of the boat and enjoyed the incredible sunset over the Nile. It was a truly memorable experience, and we highly recommend this trip.

On May 9, 2026, our 2hr Luxury Nile Felucca Sunset Cruise which started at 0430pm ultimately lasted over 3 hrs. as the boat captain generously allowed us to wait for the stunning sunset, which finally appeared after 7pm. Watching other sailboats glide by and seeing some people swimming and some bathing their horses on the west bank stirred profound memories of my youth. While waiting for the sunset atop the Felucca's rooftop, we had a great time chatting with our tour guide, Islam. We were also very grateful for Islam/his being our photographer. Instead of returning by car to our hotel, we chose to walk to our hotel with Islam, thereby enabling us to appreciate more the beauty of the city as we took breathtaking views of the structures outside of the Luxor Temple. I highly recommend this tour.
