One hiccup, otherwise great

The miscue came from the description of the tour, specifically the meeting place which was near a subway entrance 6 minutes from the restaurant. I inferred that someone would meet us there and perhaps there would be additional participants. I decided against the subway and took a taxi directly to the restaurant. I informed Viator of my plan well in advance. Got to the restaurant before the meeting time, texted again to say I’d arrived and would not be at the subway station. and then I waited for 30 min, no one came, no one responded to my texts either. Finally I called Viator; they told me to enter the restaurant, there was no one else coming. So 35 min late we showed up for our reservation, we were the only patrons there and, being very embarrassed, mangled our way through an apology for being so late. That all being said, the staff couldn’t have been kinder, the food was fabulous. You must come prepared to consume more calories than you’ve ever had at one sitting, but it’s absolutely worthwhile once you know what you’re actually doing

Couldn’t find it

Couldn’t find it. Tried the get directions button on Viator in both Google and Apple Maps. It would lead us one way, when we got there it reroute us to the train station. Looked for this place for 2 1/2 hours. Kept asking people where it was, nobody knew. What a waste of $425, very disappointing.

Even though we shared the meeting details and address through the Viator message system after the booking was confirmed and also sent a reminder before the experience, it seems there may still have been some confusion with the directions, and we’re very sorry this led to trouble locating the spot. Great experience. The...

Great experience. The Kobe beef was so decadent. The service was excellent. Probably could have booked it ourselves but they did all the hard work and all we had to do was yo sit and eat
