This was a 5.5 hr tour. The boat ride in the harbor was the best part, but there was no guide on board. We spent the better part of an hour or more just picking up other passengers and dropping them off at different locations. Only two stops
Overall, I think it’s a great tour if you don’t like walking or cannot walk far. If you’re the traveler that likes to explore and walk everywhere, this tour is not for you. Most of the tour is on the bus and if you’re not on the left side, you won’t have a great view: The ski lift stop was disappointing because they don’t give you time to go to the top, which is basically the whole point of going to the lift because you cannot see the whole thing from the stop point. The guide was great, but the driver gave us incorrect directions and we missed part of the tour that we had to make up later. Fjord boat ride was cool, but felt mostly like a cruise between islands than fjords like on the west coast of the country with the big mountains and clear waters.
A very good trip and fast paced. Perhaps not enough to see the ski slope properly and definitely not enough time to take the lift to the top. The English speaking guide was excellent and the electric powered boat did the floors trip was very new, spacious and comfortable!
The tour was great, and the guide was very professional, with good information; the city's weather helped create a great experience.
Fantastic! I would definitely recommend. Our tour guide Rita, gave an extremely engaging running commentary in the city (best tour commentary I've ever had!). Our driver Victor was great, and the new Coach bus was top notch. Fjord cruise commentary is on an app, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. One criticism is that when we get to the sculpture park, rather than just saying, "follow me to show you where we will pick you up", have a map on the back of the flyer that you handed out when we get on the bus( I'm pretty sure we lost a few people who couldn't keep up without fast she was walking).
Anita was so sweet and an AMAZING tour guide. Her personal touch made the excursion extra special. She taught us so much about Oslo is our time together. Her enthusiasm for Norway was captivating. We loved this tour! Don’t miss it!
This wasn’t the most convenient tour from cruise ship as you ended at a different location from pickup. Highlight was Gustav statues in the park. Didn’t find it overly interesting. Fjord cruise was uneventful but pleasant, needed to download app if you wanted to listen. Tour guide recommended taking Oslo taxi or bolt back which was a ripoff at $37.
This was an extremely thorough and stimulating tour of Oslo. The boat ride on the fjords was spectacular. The bus driver was exceptional with a brand new bus. The tour guide gave in depth facts and history with frequent humor to live it up. She was the best we have had on any tour. We saw the ski run, the Vigeland sculptures, and enjoyed a thorough tour of the city. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our day trip. The tour guide was informative and friendly. The stops at Holmenkollen and Vigeland Park were very good and we were lucky to see some of the skiers in action at the ski jump. The day of our trip was cold - February, it had recently snowed. Make sure to wrap up warm / wear appropriate clothing so that you can enjoy the walk through Vigeland Park. A particular highlight for us as a family was the Oslofjord boat cruise. It was relaxing and we enjoyed listening to the audio commentary. Make use of the free Wifi on board.
Fantastic variety of interesting places to see both in and outside the main city. Highly recommended. Our Welsh guide [85 yrs young and fit as a fiddle! Brilliant, insightful and humourous gentleman]
