Ferdinando made our experience absolutely wonderful! We were nervous about navigating Rome as a big family of 12 people, but he handled everything with ease and grace and made sure we were all taken care of. The skip the line tickets made all the difference so we didn't have to wait outside in the heat. He was VERY knowledgeable and brought his own personal excavation experience into his stories, he was a very engaging tour guide. Two days straight of listening to anyone talk would be a lot, but truly we all could have had a full week with Ferdinando and we wouldn't have been tired of him! He was great interacting with all ages in our party, bringing a light and refreshing sense of humor.
We created a 2 full day customized tour with Ferdinando that was absolutely spectacular! He organized every moment that needed detail and our pick up and transfers were seamless. Ferdinando's knowledge of the museums, Basilicas, churches, as well as Roman architecture, culture and traditions were incredibly detailed, and offered us such a rich contect to take in and understand what we were experiencing! All 12 of us thought our trip to Rome was a fantastic experience because of Ferdinando!!
Everything was excellent. Drivers/guides were knowledgeable and friendly. They were always prompt and helpful.
This tour could not have gone smoother or been more enjoyable! Ferdinando, our guide, explained everything about the sites we saw and general history in a fascinating manner. All 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed our time with him! We would definitely recommend him and use his company again!
Ferninando was so knowledgable and personable. Patient with our questions exactly what we wanted one on one. Other than the heat could not have asked for more!! Deserves a raise!!!
Ferdinando our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. He made it very interesting for our group of 10 including younger kids. I will ask for him when we come back to Rome! His knowledge was beyond our expectation!!
The title, “Best of Rome”is accurate!! Ferdindondo was an incredible, he has a PhD in archaeology and was the perfect guide for my granddaughter who just received her BA in Ancient Mediterranean History. Don’t hesitate to book this your!! It sell out quickly and it is a must.
Let me start by saying Ferdinando was a fantastic tour guide and this is a great tour of many fabulous sites however, I was under the assumption this tour was by van to each place. It is not, IT IS A WALKING TOUR. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped at the Colosseum where we met our guide and were informed then that we would be walking to all the stops listed on the tour. After the tour was over, we would be on our own to walk back to the hotel. I had to pay 50 euro additional to have the van return to take my party back. Half of my party stopped with the tour after the Colosseum while the others continued walking. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.
Ciao Kara, thanks for your review and I want to say you have been great clients, very nice and educated people and I really appreciated your company throughout the tour. Let me clarify though that the tour is called Best of Rome skip the line private tour with hotel PICK UP which is different from - DRIVING TOUR where you have the van at your disposal for the entire tour and - DROP OFF with a van ride back to your accommodation at the end of the tour Also, in the tour description it says: "the tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation for a private transfer by van to the Colosseum". in addition to this, under the voice "what's included" it says: "Transfer from your accommodation to the Colosseum", it doesn't say: "driver at your disposal for the entire tour". The 50 euro you had to pay extra is because you asked for a drop off which, as I was saying, is not included in the tour otherwise with no extras to pay. This said, I'm really sorry of what happened but I wanted to clarify that the info provided in the tour page clearly show that this is not a driving tour.
This was one of our favorite tours in Italy! We were able to see so much of what Rome had to offer. During the tour, Ferdinando provided us with a comprehensive tour of the historical and architectural aspects of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill. This tour was well worth the money and was an amazing experience! Ferdinando was one of the highlights of our trip!
Fernando was a excellent guide took us off the beaten track showed us the best coffee shoos and best place to have a beer his knowledge of all the sites is very good.I would recommend the personnel tour with him he is very knowledgeable. Jim from Liverpool (champions of Europe)
