Fun little short excursion on a little sailboat .. only 10 people which is perfect a the captain and first mate were great … gloves and blanket given if needed.. wine and beer for a small fee … beautiful hour trip around the bay !
The tall boat, a schooner, was booked for 10:00, but changed time to 11:30 without notice, losing opportunity for a 3 hour block of time in the afternoon before departure of ship. The sail was unfurled long enough to take a photo, but otherwise, it was a motorboat Tour of the bay near the pier. The young ladies who led the tour were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, but weren't at pier until around 11:00
This was a very relaxing and fun boat trip. Even with lack of wind for sailing, our crew gave us a great tour of the Halifax area, answered questions, and we had an enjoyable ride. We even got a great restaurant recommendation that was off the beaten path. It was wonderful. We can highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed a delightful hour out on the Beautiful Halifax Harbour with the J Farwell Saling Tour staff. It ended up just being my husband and myself which made the trip even nicer. Staff was knowledgeable and personable and the time flew by. We even had a second captain who was visiting , so the level of attention was quite good. Of course the day was lovely and we were able to sail back to the wharf. All in all, lovely thing to do when you are visiting Halifax from the States like my husband I were.
This was an excellent day! The captain and mate were knowledgeable and friendly! Putting the sail up and down was a beautiful site. And the ride was relaxing
