El monumento más famoso de Grecia que alberga el orgullo y la joya de la corona de Atenas, el Partenón. Dedicado a la antigua patrona de la ciudad, Atenea, la diosa de la sabiduría, el Partenón es considerado globalmente un símbolo perdurable de la democracia, la cultura y la civilización. En la cima y en los alrededores de la roca sagrada se encuentran algunos de los sitios más importantes del patrimonio antiguo de la capital, como: Propileos, la entrada a la roca. El Templo de la Victoria sin Alas, que estaba dedicado a la diosa Atenea-Nike. Erecteión, cuya característica más conocida es su pórtico sur, cuyo techo, en lugar de estar sostenido por columnas, descansaba sobre las cabezas de seis estatuas Korai, las famosas Cariátides. El Odeón de Herodes Ático, un teatro romano de piedra con capacidad para 5000 personas, excavado en la roca, que todavía se utiliza para festivales de música. El Teatro de Dioniso, donde los atenienses escuchaban las obras inmortales de Sófocles, Esquilo, Eurípides y Aristófanes.
Continuamos nuestro recorrido pasando por el Templo de Zeus Olímpico – Rey del Panteón Griego. El templo, ahora medio en ruinas, también conocido como Olympieion, en su apogeo estaba formado por 104 columnas de 17 metros de altura y 2 metros de diámetro.
Tras la visita al templo, haremos una breve parada en el Estadio Panatenaico, también conocido como Kallimarmaro, un estadio multiusos, donde se celebraron las primeras Olimpiadas modernas en 1896. ¡Dato interesante! El Estadio Panathinaikó, también conocido como Kalimarmaro, es el único estadio del mundo construido íntegramente en mármol.
Nuestra próxima parada será el parlamento griego, un edificio que originalmente fue construido con el propósito de ser el palacio de Otto, el primer rey de Grecia.
Fuera del edificio del Parlamento se encuentra la Tumba del Soldado Desconocido, custodiada por la guardia presidencial. Esta unidad de infantería ligera, vestida con el uniforme tradicional de Evzone, lleva a cabo una famosa ceremonia de cambio de guardia.
Luego conduciremos por la calle Panepistimiou, que conecta la Plaza de la Constitución (Syntagma) con la Plaza de la Concordia (Omonia). Durante este corto recorrido por el corazón de la capital, se encontrará con tres hermosos edificios: la Academia, la Universidad y la Biblioteca Nacional. ¡Dato interesante! Construidas en el siglo XIX, estas tres mansiones se conocen comúnmente como la “trilogía neoclásica” de Atenas.
Nuestra sesión de conducción continúa con una parada en el monte Licabeto, uno de los miradores más altos de la ciudad, que ofrece una de las mejores vistas panorámicas del centro de Atenas y sus suburbios.
El nuevo Museo de la Acrópolis se inauguró en 2009 y está situado bajo la ladera sur de la Acrópolis. El museo contiene principalmente esculturas de frontón, relieves y estatuas encontradas en la roca sagrada, que formaron su decoración. Con más de 4.000 objetos expuestos, el Museo de la Acrópolis está considerado como uno de los mejores y más importantes del mundo.

Recogida en el aeropuerto: Su conductor lo recibirá a su llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional de Atenas - “Eleftherios Venizelos”, en la salida de aduanas, sosteniendo una tarjeta de identificación HP. Tenga en cuenta que el puerto de El Pireo tiene tres terminales: Terminal A, B y C. Dependiendo de la terminal en la que atraque su barco, su conductor le estará esperando en la salida correspondiente. (por ejemplo, si su barco atraca en la Terminal A, su conductor le recibirá en la salida de la Terminal A, etc.) En caso de que su barco atraque en la Terminal B o Terminal C y la puerta de salida correspondiente esté cerrada, deberá tomar el autobús lanzadera para llegar a la Terminal A (VIAJE DE 3 MIN), donde lo estará esperando su conductor.

amazing experience. they were super friendly and professional. Made the whole experience very easy and fun and very organized. The driver was very nice. The guide was very helpful and kind. we were able to communicate all our needs with HP tours via WhatsApp and they were very responsive to answer questions. Give us options. Adjust timings to make it comfortable. They even helped us get the best value tickets for the Acropolis without any price markup, which I really appreciate appreciated. They had a clean and very nice vehicle to transport our 14 passenger crew. I would highly recommend them to anybody!

From the moment I contacted H.P. Tours until our driver, Kyriakos, dropped us off at the airport the following day, our experience was 100% A+. Emails were responded to quickly and every request was greeted with positive professionalism. One member of our party had fallen at the beginning of our trip. She needed a wheelchair which was kindly provided and Kyriakos took excellent care of her when she was unable to visit a site in her wheelchair. Our guide, Helen, who works with H.P. Tours regularly, was wonderful. I would highly recommend this company and Helen!

Tasos was our driver and tour guide and did an excellent job! He was prompt in our pick up, communicated well, and knew how to keep us from the main crowds (although difficult in some of the popular sites). I highly recommend this tour! Please note that they recommend getting Acropolis tickets in advance (either on your own or they would get them for me, and we would reimburse our guide in cash). I got them for our group, and I got the wrong ones, but we were able to talk our way in. I highly recommend having them get them for you!!!!

Our driver, Tasos, was superb. Kind and very knowledgeable about the history of Athens. He catered our tour to our specific interests and was prepared with water, umbrellas, anything we needed. The van was also very clean, nice and comfortable. A top notch way to see Athens!

Christopher was fabulous. He was very thoughtful finding good places for us to take pictures. He found us a delightful spot to have a cappuccino looking up at the acropolis. He was very enthusiastic about all of the sites of Athens.

We had such a wonderful experience on our half-day Athens tour combined with a second day of another half-day trip to Cape Sounion. The balance between seeing the city highlights and then heading out along the beautiful coastal road to the Temple of Poseidon was perfect. It gave us a great mix of history, culture, and breathtaking views, all in one day. Our driver, Jimmy, made the tour exceptional. He was not only punctual and professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Throughout the journey, he shared fascinating details about Athens’ history, local culture, and the significance of each site we visited. Mario’s was excellent. Very professional airport pickup. Was a fantastic way to pick up at airport, see an overall view of the city and be delivered to our hotel (when our hotel room was ready!) We used Hellenic Private Tours for both our private airport transfer and a half-day Athens tour before our cruise, and it was excellent from start to finish. Being met right outside of customs and whisked straight to our hotel was such a smooth start to our trip. The next morning, our private driver and guide gave us the perfect introduction to Athens. We saw all the major sites, learned so much about the city, and even practiced a little Greek along the way. Having it just for our group made it more personal, with plenty of time for one-on-one questions and the flexibility to go at our own pace.
