We are so happy we booked this transport from Lisbon to Porto. We were going to travel by train but this option allowed us to see more of Portugal. Each stop was interesting and we had time to hit some highlights. Our driver Mario was great to communicate with and he helped make the experience memorable. He also gave us recommendations for our stay in Porto. Well worth booking!
We are so happy we booked this transfer from Lisbon to Porto! We were going to travel by train but this option allowed us to see more of Portugal. We had the pleasure of having Mario Costa as our driver for our transfer from Lisbon to Porto, with stops in Óbidos, Fátima, Coimbra, and Aveiro, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment he picked us up, Mario was warm, professional, and incredibly welcoming. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about Portugal, its history, and each destination we visited. Along the way, he shared fascinating insights, local stories, and excellent recommendations that made our journey so much more meaningful. What stood out most was his genuine kindness and patience. My mother uses a cane, and Mario consistently went out of his way to help her get in and out of the vehicle, making sure she was comfortable and never rushed. His thoughtfulness and respect did not go unnoticed, and it meant so much to our family. Mario made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire trip. He is an excellent driver, and we always felt safe in his care. His friendly personality, professionalism, and attention to every detail made what could have simply been a transfer feel like a memorable part of our vacation. It is obvious that Mario truly loves what he does. He went above and beyond in every way to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, and his passion for sharing his beautiful country shines through in everything he does. People like Mario are one of the reasons Portugal has left such a lasting impression on us. Thanks to his outstanding hospitality, we are already looking forward to returning. If you have the opportunity to travel with Mario Costa, consider yourself very lucky—you’ll be in the best hands. Thank you, Mario, for making our trip so special!
Nuno was an unbelievable tour guide and overall person. We truly enjoyed meeting him.
We used Wonders Tours to travel from Lisbon to Porto, with stops in Obidos, Nazare, Fatima, and Aveiro, with four people. Everything was clearly and promptly confirmed by email from Patricia. Our driver/guide, Felipe, was 20 minutes early for our pickup (which was great), and patient and kind all day in managing the stops we wanted to make and the length of our stay at each place. His English was totally fluent and he was always precisely where he said he would be when we met back up with him. It was an ambitious day, but that was our choice. We found the tour an efficient way to see a lot, rather than just doing day trips and taking the train from Lisbon to Porto. We would absolutely recommend Wonders Tours to others.
We had a wonderful experience traveling from Lisbon to Porto with our guide/driver. He was extremely pleasant company throughout the journey, professional, punctual, and made the drive very comfortable and enjoyable. He shared great local tips, recommendations, and interesting insights along the way that really enhanced our trip. We truly appreciated his kindness, patience, and warm personality. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Portugal!
Our driver Tiago was personable, professional, and a very good driver. We got to see some incredible small Portugal towns with absolutely no stress. It was a great option for us.
We traveled from Lisbon to Porto via Fatima and Aviera. It was a comfortable ride and the driver Mario was pleasant. We had about an hour and a half at each location.
Vasco was passionate about informing of us of Portugal’s rich history and created a lifetime memory for me and my family! Obidos , a picturesque medieval village complete with Baroque churches and astounding views from the castle. The entryway into the village is spectacular with its tiled archway and often features a musician. Next stop was World-famous for waves, Nazare. The Cliffs and their views left us awestruck. Cannot wait to visit again in the winter when the legendary waves are surfed by brave daredevils! We had the best meal we have tasted in Portugal with a view of the cliffs. The 3rd tour was Coimbre , the 11th century university with its cape-clad students and famous library. Winding down from the university were postcard worthy buildings, pedestrian squares and churches. Vasco informed us, the first king of Spain Afonso is tombed in one of the 11th century university churches we photographed. We want to re-visit and devote an entire day to Nazare and Coimbre! So much to experience. We extend such gratitude to Vasco for this phenomenal tour!
Inadequate tour guide. Inaccurate facts on Fátima and no knowledge of one of the holiest places. Very disappointing to learn that not only were his fact incorrect but he was an atheist and had little interest. I could have gotten more from a bus ride than the guide that gave us.
Thank you for your feedback. However, we believe this review reflects expectations that do not correspond to the service booked. This experience is clearly sold as a transfer with an English-speaking driver, not as a guided tour conducted by a licensed tour guide. Therefore, detailed historical or religious interpretation is neither included nor advertised. It is also important to note that personal religious beliefs should not be used to question the professionalism or quality of service provided by a driver. Reviews based on services or features that were never included in the booking are particularly unfair and potentially very damaging to small local companies such as ours. The service delivered fully matched the experience described at the time of booking. Kind regards.
