Descubra la histórica ciudad de Sintra, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, en una excursión de un día desde Lisboa. Sintra es una ciudad que se encuentra a unos 35 km de Lisboa. Es un lugar mágico con castillos y palacios y un impresionante centro histórico. Tiene vistas increíbles y también playas especiales. La UNESCO declaró el paisaje cultural de Sintra Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1995.
Quinta da Regaleira es un lugar para sentir. No basta con contar su historia, su paisaje y sus misterios. Es necesario conocerla, contemplar la escenografía de los jardines y edificios, admirar el Palacio, una auténtica mansión filosófica inspirada en la alquimia, pasear por el exótico parque y sentir su espiritualidad. El Palacio de la Regaleira es el edificio principal y el nombre más común de Quinta da Regaleira. También se le conoce como Palacio de Monteiro dos Milhões, nombre asociado al apodo de su antiguo propietario, António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro.
Privilegiado mirador sobre la costa atlántica, la llanura de inundación y la sierra de Sintra, el milenario Castillo de los Moros, fundado bajo el dominio islámico, ocupaba entonces una posición estratégica para la defensa tanto del territorio circundante como de las vías de acceso marítimo a la ciudad de Lisboa. Los restos encontrados en este yacimiento permiten identificar cómo, entre las murallas y sus zonas adyacentes, vivía una población en una zona que hoy se denomina Barrio Islámico.
La historia de este mágico lugar se remonta al siglo XII, época en la que aquí se encontraba una ermita dedicada a Nuestra Señora de la Pena. En este mismo lugar, el rey Manuel I mandó construir un Monasterio, el Real Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de la Pena, posteriormente cedido a la Orden de los Jerónimos.

Neel was exceptional. I need to repeat that exceptional. He went so completely beyond and is the best guide we have ever had, from helping with moody teens, taking amazing photos and videos to making sure we seen and experienced everything Sintra had to offer. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Not even only with my family, you see how he interacts with the people around him. From saying hi to babies, talking to the staff at the locations and store owners. He is embedded, invested and proud of his country. It shows in his attitude, his passion to pass on this history and a how hard he works. We will definitely book him again and recommend him to our friends and colleagues that are coming in the fall to Portugal. You will not be disappointed.

The itinerary included three beautiful destinations, each offering something unique and memorable. What really set this tour apart was the convenience—the guide drove us between locations, which made it easy to cover more ground comfortably. Our guide (Mr. Fantastic) was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Lisbon’s history and culture. He shared interesting insights and stories at each stop, which made the experience much more engaging and meaningful. This was a great tour. Our guide Hossain was an excellent host. He was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information along the tour. Doing the tour through Viator had its perks as we were able to advance to the front of the line at Pena Palace, saving a lot of time. Hossain was also very flexible, and allowed us to change the itinerary since it was a private tour. Great tour, great day. Thanks Hossain.
We were scheduled to be picked up at our hotel, the driver never showed up. When we contacted the agency they said they had been to the hotel, insisted that we were being untruthful. Said they had call/texted 5 times, which was incorrect. Thank goodness we were able to contact another tour guide and get on their schedule, otherwise we would have had a wasted day!
We had an amazing time on this tour with our tour guide, Neel, who told us so many information about the history of the area. The moorish castle was very cool and Pena palace was pretty while the Regilera tunnels were so interesting. I very much recommend this tour and Neel is an amazing tour guide!

We had a phenomenal day with Mr. fantastic! This was one of the only tours that we could find that would do the Moorish Castle, Pena Palace, AND Quinta Regaleira. We really appreciated the knowledgeable guide and very smooth logistics of the entire day. We got to see all the sights we wanted in Sintra. The great views and ruins of the Moorish Castle were spectacular. Then, we got to go to the Pena Palace, which our guide was able to deftly navigate the lines, and held our place while we ate at the cafe. We also had a good lunch with a helpful recommendation from Mr. Fantastic. Overall an amazing experience which we would not have been able to do in one day otherwise. Highly recommend!!

The day is full so you need a guide who understand the crowds and what to do when and where. Between Pena Palace, Santa, Moorish Castle, all was completed and avoided big crowds. NAYEM was Awesome!!!
