Para explorar esta región de Lisboa es imprescindible disponer de un vehículo. La Serra da Arrabida promete paisajes aún muy salvajes y vírgenes. El sitio de Cabo Espichel es aún poco conocido por los viajeros y sin embargo tan excepcional. Los amantes de la naturaleza y aquellos que aprecian los espacios abiertos estarán encantados. Nos tomaremos el tiempo para explorar el pequeño pueblo de Sesimbra. Bordeado por su magnífica playa, este pueblo de pescadores sigue siendo muy auténtico. El almuerzo está previsto en Sesimbra, donde podrá disfrutar de especialidades locales. A continuación tomaremos una de las carreteras más bonitas de Portugal. Atraviesa la Serra da Arrabida, una joya de la naturaleza en estado puro. De regreso haremos una parada en Cristo Rey. Esta inmensa estatua domina la ciudad de Lisboa y te permitirá tener una vista excepcional de la capital.

El tiempo de viaje de Lisboa a Cabo Espichel es de aproximadamente 1,5 horas, dependiendo del tráfico.
Cabo austero y salvaje situado al borde de espectaculares acantilados. Dentro de este paisaje accidentado hay vistas fascinantes, que incluyen una iglesia, un poderoso faro y dos conjuntos de huellas de dinosaurios. Cabo Espichel es un sitio fantástico para apreciar la naturaleza en estado puro.
Uno de los balnearios más bellos de Portugal, Sesimbra es históricamente una importante ciudad pesquera.
Clasificado como monumento nacional desde el 16 de junio de 1910, el Castillo de Sesimbra es el último de los castillos costeros portugueses que permanece en buen estado de conservación hasta el día de hoy.
Tomamos la famosa carretera N379, mítica y pintoresca, atraviesa parte de la Serra d'Arrabida. Este parque natural de 10.800 hectáreas está delimitado por un lado por la montaña y por el otro por una costa de excepcional belleza.
De regreso nos detendremos para admirar la imponente estatua de Cristo Rey. Este santuario domina la ciudad de Lisboa y podrás disfrutar de una vista impresionante de la capital. Es posible subir en ascensor hasta lo más alto de la estatua (pago a realizar in situ).
El viaje de regreso dura aproximadamente 1 hora, el tiempo puede variar según el tráfico.

We loved the concept of a tour in a very comfortable van from the times we were kids (and it was a long time ago!). Moreover this almost a private tour, and the way you see the beauties of Lisbon region becomes different, I would say more intimate. The owner Laura passes you on the passion she has for her adopted motherland. If you wish to discover the region in an informal and friendly atmosphere, this is the tour you should choose.

After a week of sightseeing and walking and battling the crowds this trip was a respite for the senses. I felt like a VIP riding solo in my VW chariot with a charming and knowledgeable host Cristiano. I didn’t really know what to expect but was blown away by the beauty of the coastline. Cabo Espichel is a remote church and lighthouse with spectacular views and is well worth the long and winding drive. The Sesimbra castle is very walkable with a beautiful blue tiled church-I had not seen a church decor like this before. Cristiano arranged for a lunch seaside in Sesimbra which was quiet and the food was delicious. Expect to pay tourist prices. Then the drive to Setúbal along the coast through the Serra Arrábida is just breathtaking. It was slightly cloudy and even so it was gorgeous. The fortress in Setúbal was very interesting - very different from the castles I had visited. We were also able to make an unscheduled stop on the Almada side of the bridge to take in the view of Lisbon. Overall this was the perfect tour for my last day in Portugal. I’m so glad an opted for something away from Lisbon and places North. This is a must see part of this beautiful country!!

Excellent time spent in the company of Laura and Cristiano. Super interesting explanations, very good atmosphere. The view was magnificent. We only want to go back! Do not change anything from the reservation until the excursion. Not to be missed if you are passing through Lisbon!
