Our guide was very informative and told the story of Lisbon in a fun way. Gave us details and low key gems along the most iconic streets & areas we would have otherwise missed. Took us to a delicious Pastel de Nata & Giginha local shop

Nelson is a fantastic, scholarly, resourceful, scouting guide, offering extensive tips of all kinds about his city. Walking through the old quarters of Alfama, Baixa, Chiado and Rossio for a morning is an exciting experience.
What a wonderful and unique experience. Nelson is an accomplished journalist and an historian of Portugal and specifically Lisbon. The tour shows you the most emblematic sites of Lisbon and reveals the history of the former capital of the Portuguese Empire, a city occupied by different civilizations, from the Phoenicians to its conquest by Christian knights. Wandering the streets, palaces and monuments of Baixa Pombalina and nearby neighbourhoods present a unique beauty and tells a 15 century story. The tour runs through Baixa de Lisboa, through a typical Alfama neighborhood, Chiado and ends at Largo do Carmo. Stopping along the way for coffee, looking down alleyways, finding hidden elevators to navigate to the top of the palace, and the best pastis ever! Nelson was a perfect host and guide, making sure we were interested, entertained and enjoying the tour!
