Puerto Limón, comúnmente conocido como Limón, es la ciudad capital y el centro principal de la provincia de Limón, así como del cantón de Limón en Costa Rica. Es la séptima ciudad más grande de Costa Rica, con una población de más de 55,000 habitantes, y es el hogar de la comunidad afrocostarricense. La provincia del Caribe es un paraíso natural, formado por una combinación de selvas densas, montañas imponentes y playas paradisíacas. Limón tiene el mayor porcentaje de tierra protegida en Costa Rica, así como una amplia variedad de flora y fauna. Su vegetación es exuberante como son las culturas en toda la provincia.
El Parque Nacional Cahuita es un parque nacional terrestre y marino en el Caribe La Amistad Conservation Area de Costa Rica, ubicado en la costa sur del Caribe en la provincia de Limón, conectado a la ciudad de Cahuita. El Parque Nacional Cahuita es único en Costa Rica por su estrecha relación con la comunidad, un ejemplo de gestión compartida entre la comunidad y el gobierno para un desarrollo sostenible a nivel comunitario. La participación de los guardaparques y la vida comunitaria se destaca a través de una gestión de gobernanza compartida. En este ecosistema, ubicado en el Caribe pero con un entorno forestal, encontrará especies como mapaches, perezosos, iguanas y basiliscos. También notará serpientes como oropel y tamagá, y pájaros como el halcón negro. Dentro del parque es posible realizar deportes recreativos y caminar por los senderos, o simplemente disfrutar de las playas nadando o tomando el sol.
El Parque Nacional Tortuguero es un área silvestre protegida en la costa caribeña del norte de Costa Rica. Sus playas son famosas zonas de anidación de tortugas marinas, incluidas las tortugas verdes en peligro de extinción. Los arroyos y lagunas de agua dulce del parque, que se pueden navegar en bote o en canoa, albergan caimanes de anteojos y tortugas de río. La densa selva tropical circundante también es rica en vida silvestre, desde monos hasta muchas especies de aves. NOTA ESPECIAL SOBRE LA HORA DE RECOGIDA Todos nuestros horarios de recogida se establecen a las 8:00 AM por defecto. SIN EMBARGO : Si su barco llega después de las 8 :00 AM, la Recogida será 30 minutos después de la llegada del barco. Puede reservar su tour y ajustaremos la hora en consecuencia con su llegada al barco. Si el barco llega tarde, nuestro personal le esperará hasta el muelle del barco y le permitirá desembarcar. Operamos todos nuestros tours en consecuencia con la llegada del barco.

- Al momento de la reserva, los pasajeros de cruceros deben proporcionar la siguiente información al momento de la reserva: nombre del barco, tiempo de atraque, tiempo de desembarque y tiempo de reembarque
- Se pueden acomodar sillas de ruedas plegables con ruedas extraíbles siempre que el pasajero esté acompañado por alguien que pueda ayudarlo a subir y bajar.
- Este tour es exclusivo para pasajeros de cruceros. Si no llega en crucero, no reserve este tour.

Getting to our tour guide was off to a rough start. Greenway Nature Day Tours showed that our tour was cancelled yet i had tickets and had paid almost $2K for the tour. From the start the person i communicated with was not interested in our tour because we wanted to stop at the Sloth Sanctuary on our tour. He finally agreed and then we show up and it showed we were cancelled. Unhappy and we wasted time trying to deal with this situation. Natalie, who it looked like was controlling the tours, stepped in an gave her assistance and arranged for the tour to happen. Without her, i feel l confident we would not have had a tour. Luigi stepped up and took over the tour guide role. We had a nice van for the tour. He drove us through the city calling out points of interest. Our first stop was Cahuita National Park. We walked down the path seeing foliage, trees and wildlife with the beach alongside the park. We saw sloths and monkeys in the trees and other critters i did not care to look at! It did not cost anything to go in the park but they wanted a small donation at the entrance, not a big deal. We stopped for some snacks and a drink at a local bar/restaurant. Then we headed to the Sloth Sanctuary, which is the highlight of the trip, in my opinion. We were scheduled to take this trip 5 years ago but Covid hit and we couldn't do the trip. We were so disappointed but now we were making it happen. The Sanctuary was very interesting. They have 130 sloths housed there. We saw about a dozen. These poor sloths all were abandoned for some reason and they take them in. Some were missing a limb, were blind, deserted by their Mother and it goes on and on. The guide was amazing with his knowledge and explanations for any question we raised. We were there for an hour They fed them while we were there and that was fun to watch them eat. The time flew by and it was worth every penny we paid for that visit. We then took a canal ride and saw more creatures in the wild. The boat guide and the captain of the boat were able to pick out the many animals in the trees. It was enjoyable. Luigi was a super nice guy and willingly took the tour on. We are not sure he does that for a living but he sure did a good job for us. I have to admit that the start of the day left a sour note with me as I knew that original guide was not happy to help us with going to the Sloth Sanctuary. I doubt we would have enjoyed the tour near as much it we had not gone there.
Thank you for your review and we are very sorry about the inconvenience. The situation was that we mixed up (by mistake) your reservation and this causes the trouble. However, since you did the reservation, we include the sloths sanctuary as part of the tour and we were very clear the entrance fee will be on your own. We never rejected to include it as part of the tour. Once you showed up at the pier and spoke with our guide, we move forward inmediately and we resolved the situation and we were able to provide a nice transportation and a good tour guide. This inconvenience was resolved in less than 5 minutes. Good to read that at the end you enjoy the tour with Luigi.
We had an amazing time on our excursion. We were able to cover a lot of ground, even though our port time was short. Steven was a great guide. He was polite, friendly, punctual, and full of knowledge to share with us. We enjoyed the private tour and being able to go at our own pace, not having to coordinate with a group. It also gave us peace of mind that we would make it back to the ship on time, not having to wait on others. Thank you Greenway!

We had a great time seeing the sites in and around Limon. Our guide Pablo was fantastic and provided us with wonderful information about Costa Rica. We got to see the rainforest, learn about the city of Limon, how bananas are exported and took a river boat tour where we saw monkeys and sloths. What a special day with a special guide. We went on a tour yesterday with Estefan and we highly recommend it! He did a fantastic job showing us all the highlights of Limon. This is a much better experience than a bus ride with a bunch of people. We saw so much more than we would have on a bus tour. He was really good at showing us all the areas and explaining what we were seeing. Very well worth it!! Thanks Estefan!! We will be back.
