This was so helpful for an older gal wanting to surf. The instruction was clear and the instructor was so helpful and friendly. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

I wanted to surf on my 50th birthday and chose Mojo Surf based on the positive reviews. My husband and I enjoyed our experience so much that we booked a second session a few days later in our trip. Johel and Marie were so much fun and made us feel like family. Best surf experience ever!

The best surfing lesson ever!!! So much laugh, great food, and the safety was a 10/10, you would be incredibly foolish to not go with mojo, new core memory unlocked! Best day ever, worth every penny

We first did surf lessons with Mojo back in Nov 2023 and loved it so much, we decided to do it again with them this past week. Tim and his team are awesome! The instructors are very patient and encouraging. The beach at Playa Grande is beautiful and the waves perfect for both beginners and more experienced surfers. They provided us with rash guards, fresh pineapple, homemade banana bread and water. This time we were staying about 90 min away up on the Papagayo Peninsula - Tim made arrangements for a driver to pick us up for the journey to Playa Grande. The driver, Jonathon was great - he waited for us to do our lesson, then took us to Tamarindo for a few hours where we could grab lunch and do some shopping before driving us back to our hotel. Highly Recommend! Amazing way to spend the day in Costa Rica!

Great experience! We had never surfed before and this was an easy way to learn and a great team. Coki and Tim were great instructors and well organized. I recommend highly!

Amazing experience. Group of 40 - teenage soccer players/younger siblings and parents. Very week organized , everything taken care off. An amazing group of instructors, beautiful quiet beach and great banana bread. Everyone had a blast !

Highly, highly recommend Mojo Surf Adventures! Easy to book, so friendly and accommodating, and even got this old lady up on a board! Tim greeted us on the beach and immediately made us all feel at ease. Honestly, it was a terrific experience start to finish.

We had the most amazing time on this surfing experience. It was our first time and all five of us were able to get up on the board! All of the instructors were kind, patient, and they made our day so fun. After 45 minutes, we stopped for a break with cold water, fresh pineapple, and the best homemade banana bread we have ever had. We even got photos to help us remember the day forever. Would definitely recommend mojo for your next surfing adventure!

Overall positive experience--good instructors, easy to book, on time, reasonable pricing. My kids really enjoyed themselves. That said, one issue--and source of frustration--is that the owner made a big deal of the fact that pictures are included and in fact he spent most of the time taking pictures rather than assisting the instructors (and due to the large group size, they definitely could have used some help). Yet despite numerous efforts to contact him for the pictures, I have yet to receive a single reply. At this point I assume I'll never receive the photos and my kids are really disappointed about that. While of course the photos are secondary to the surf lessons themselves, its unprofessional to promise them but not deliver on that promise (and to ignore my messages altogether)--plus its perplexing why he would spend the whole time taking pictures he doesn't intend to distribute.

We had such a wonderful experience with Mojo! Communication was excellent, ease of location/parking, and great equipment. Our instructor Dego was great at teaching, guiding and helping us. The beach is clean, beautiful and warm. We had never surfed before and were able to really gain the full experience and check of a once and a life time bucket list adventure.
