Our family had a great time! My 3 teenage sons loved this experience the best. Great teacher and good all around learning about ninjas!
This ninja experience was absolutely amazing. Our instructor was patient and thorough with her directions. Her assistant outfitted us, took pictures of us throughout the event, and emailed the pictures to us. We were introduced to ninja warmup/meditation, walking, sword technique, and interacted with ninja stars, blow darts, and other weapons. Great shop within the dojo to buy items to take home (offers shipping for larger items). 5 stars and great for a family!!
We had a great time for the 2h experience, we didn't see the time pass it was great!
Thank you for your awesome review. Hope you’ll remember the philosophy and lesson learned here. Thank you once more.
As a practitioner of various martial arts (the kind without weapons), I booked this in order to get experience of that other type of art. My teacher (I never asked her name, oops!) was very nice, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. She also entertained my attempts to speak Japanese too lol. We went through various aspects of ninja martial arts and techniques. There are the ones we see in anime, like hand signs and hiding behind rotating walls, but there was also cultural lessons about how each weapon or tool was used. Somehow my previous training helped a lot for all the physical motions and techniques. I was able to hit targets with shuriken and such, and my swordplay was decent enough to do a short fight choreography with my teacher. I was allowed to record the whole session for my personal vlog. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in martial arts culture, just be careful that it’s somewhat physically demanding!
Fun experience with a skilled instructor, more than we expected, can highly recommend this class and photos are provided

Went as a family with our 10 and 13 year old boys for the 2 hour ninja lesson, which was excellent. Great fun for all of us and the boys loved it, especially learning skills with all the different weapons. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted to hear that you were satisfied and had a fulfilling time learning about Ninja. It was really nice to have you in our Dojo. Thanks again and have a nice day.
This ninja experience was a standout highlight of our Japan trip! The two-hour experience felt incredibly authentic and immersive. We learned about history, used traditional tools like shurikens and blow darts, and practiced stealth walking. The class was well-paced, led by Sensei Jack, who was exceptional in his explanations and teachings. We loved that they took photos for us and that the venue doubles as a real ninjutsu dojo. Huge thank you to the team for such a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
This experience was a great activity for a couple looking for something different to include in their trip itinerary. The two hour class included meditation, ninja walking, ninja sword, samurai sword, shuriken, Kunai, dagger, blow dart, and other Ninja tool demonstration and attempts. The instructor did a great job keeping it entertaining and enjoyable throughout.
Great experience even for newbies. Learned a lot and what a fun way for a unique Japan experience. They took photos too for remembrance.
My kids (ages 10 and 12) said this was their favorite experience in Kyoto! It was super fun and very hands on. I definitely recommend it!
Thank you for your awesome review. Hope you remember the ninja spirit you learnt. Thank you again!
