Itinerario
Uno de los dos santuarios más populares de la ciudad de Kobe. Es un santuario, y para este, es más apagado... sin el famoso naranja/rojo por todas partes. Muy popular para muchas celebraciones importantes diferentes para los lugareños.
Pasaremos por Harbour Land y Meriken Park. Esta es una hermosa zona portuaria tanto para locales como para viajeros. En Meriken hay muchos restaurantes y tiendas para explorar.
El lugar donde a los lugareños les encanta ir de compras. Más cerca de la tienda Daimaru, las tiendas son más cosmopolitas, y yendo hacia el lado de la estación de Kobe, se ve una mezcla de lo nuevo y lo antiguo (tiendas propiedad de muchas generaciones).
China Town ubicado en el lado de Motomachi. Te sentirás como si estuvieras en un área totalmente diferente de cuando entras en esta calle. Sientes que ya ni siquiera estás en Japón.

Se recomienda una experiencia de 8 horas si desea que se incluyan las Cataratas Nunobiki. Nunobiki presenta las flores que florecen en la temporada que visitas. Mientras camina por los senderos del jardín, tiene vistas de la línea Kobe City Ocean/Sky a lo largo del camino. Divertido paseo por la montaña en una "góndola" de teleférico; y en su viaje hacia arriba, puede ver la cascada Nunobiki y otras casas, follaje ... y sin olvidar mencionar, la vista del horizonte de la ciudad de Kobe. Una vez en la cima, visite el museo de aceites esenciales y huela algunas muestras, camine por el sendero con muchos jardines más pequeños colocados en hermosos diseños y visite un invernadero con una maravillosa vista y sonido del río que fluye. Si lo desea, también puede almorzar en el restaurante de hierbas (con platos de flores comestibles). No puedes equivocarte aquí si quieres ver todo lo que el paisaje de la ciudad de Kobe tiene para ofrecer (montañas, océanos y todo lo que hay en el medio).
Estacional: durante los meses de verano y principios de otoño. Aunque tranquilo en muchos de los meses del año, el verano se vuelve divertido con los restaurantes emergentes con música, pasea por las cálidas aguas y la gente observa cómo algunos perfeccionan sus selfies.

Michelle was an amazing tour guide during our stop in Kobe. Since it was our first time there and we had limited time at port, we really appreciated how much she was able to show us in such a short amount of time. We did a walking tour that also included riding the subway, which gave us a great feel for the city and how locals get around. Michelle made everything easy and stress-free while still fitting so much into our day. She introduced us to local candies, Kobe beef, and ice cream, all of which were amazing and made the experience even more memorable. It felt like we were able to experience a great mix of the local culture and food in just a few hours. Michelle was friendly, knowledgeable, and organized, and we are so glad we got to spend our time in Kobe with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting Kobe for the first time!

Just be aware that your review can disappear while writing it as mine did both times so keeping it short! We started our tour by riding the Ropeway to the Nunobiki Gardens which provided amazing views of Kobe and the waterfall below. Once at the top we walked around the many gardens with beautiful flowers and herbs. The Cherry blossoms were in full bloom which made our visit very special. We enjoyed a coffee and cake while admiring the views below but the cafe is very expensive! There are lots of concrete paths and steps as you descend the mountain. We finished our tour at a restaurant in downtown Kobe and enjoyed the very tender flavoursome Wagu beef. A must do in Kobe.

Our day with Michelle was fabulous. She went out of her way to show us what real life is like in Kobe. She answered all of our questions openly and honestly and we had many laughs along the way. She took us to a fantastic restaurant to try Kobe beef, we shopped for vintage candy and even in a second hand store. Her photos were great too! Everything she showed us was thoughtful and the day flew by. Her perspectives from both east and western living were very insightful and we felt like we had made a new friend by the end of the day. Excellent tour, the guide was very friendly, the restaurant Kobe recommended us was delicious. It rained all day but we managed to do the whole itinerary and had a great time.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Michelle. She is from Kobe but spent many years in the US. She showed us a couple of shrines, which were beautiful but explaining her inside knowledge of the everyday life of the cities residents was something that really fascinated us. She explained different shops, hotel, the inside daily activity of neighborhoods etc. that you never get on a regular tour. Because this wasn't just seeing tourist attractions, this was one of our favorite tours ever... and we do a lot of traveling.

We really liked this tour because the guide was born and raised in Kobe but lived in the US for many years so she was able to explain parts of her city that would be new to us. She showed us a couple of wonderful shrines, a neighborhood and how people lived their daily lives, local shops, malls, waterfront, etc.. She was very accommodating to our needs and wishes. It was a great day.

Michelle's tour around her town was a lot of fun. The tour is really custom to what you want to see. We learned a lot about Japanese history, things we didn't learn from other guides in Japan. We got to see the sights, see great views, eat Kobe beef, drink Kobe sake and stroll around local neighborhoods. My wife enjoyed shopping with her and learning about local stores/souvenirs and buying some Japanese candies. She's also a great photographer, we got some great photos together. A very personalized tour, it felt like strolling around a town visiting an old friend. I would definitely recommend her tour.
