The performance was excellent! It is always a joy to listen to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and other violin pieces- especially meaningful in the very church he spent years teaching and composing hundreds of years ago!
Watching The Four Seasons by Vivaldi in his church where he would have played it. The sound was super, the musicians faultless 10/10
To hear the music in the space it was written for is sacred, magical, and amazing. The musicians were incredibly engaged in the music and clearly passionate about their work. If I had complaints they would be the hear, but that’s no one’s fault. Bring a fan Also during the concert some patrons were very rude, on their phone or talking. Again not the venues fault just obnoxious people.
This concert was a highlight of our trip to Italy. The musicians were so talented, it made visiting Venice all the more special.
We got there about 20 minutes early so we could sit in a chair closer to the front and it was great! Beautiful church beautiful show.
It was an amazing experience to hear the work of Vivaldi in his church. Extremely talented musicians. Very well done. Highly recommend.
Vibrant enjoyment. Excellent virtuosos, high quality; I imagine Vivaldi's music sounded like this. It corresponds to what today is a small rock concert of good quality. The only downside is that Vivaldi's concertos were played by female soloists, whereas today it is only men. Nevertheless, a wonderful pleasure for an hour and still affordable. Afterward, a spritz and tramezzino at St. Mark's Square.
The players were phenomenal. What a treat to hear Vivaldi as he would have written it! The church is beautiful.
Born in 1678, the legendary Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi is inextricably linked to Venice. Known as the "Red Priest," he spent decades in the city composing world-famous masterpieces, like The Four Seasons, primarily while working at a Venetian orphanage and conservatory. How could I NOT hear a Vivaldi concert. Actually this is the second time I've attended and I will again. It is just magic!
It was a wonderful concert. It was in a lovely church with great acoustics. Conveniently located near San Marco Square and water/bus taxi stations.
