Langtang Valley Trek

Glorious Himalaya's organisation of our trip was excellent and we had a great adventure with many memorable experiences. The highlights were the dawn views atop Kyanjin Ri, reaching Gosaikunda in the snow and a great viewing of a Red Panda. I cannot speak highly enough of our guide Prakash Gurung and his team of four porters. He led in an informed and quiet manner, inspiring us when the going got tough whilst doing his utmost to maximize our comfort and see to our needs at every stop. He has a deep knowledge of the area which he shares readily. The porters are absolute heroes and I don't know how they make carrying those loads look so easy. Wonderful memories will persist.

Just back from a fantastic 10 day trek in the Langtang valley and Gosainkunda with Prakash and his team. Prakash was the most fantastic guide, supported by his very capable team of porters who went above and beyond to make the trek enjoyable for our mixed age family group. Prakash’s organisation and knowledge ensured that we were well looked after and all our needs were met. The trek itself was unforgettable with amazing views, experiences, and even a red panda sighting. I would highly recommend including both locations in the trek as it provided varying scenery. We did a sunrise hike overlooking the langtang valley which was definitely a highlight. The lakes at Gosainkunda were amazing. Each member of our group said how proud they were to complete this trek and how it really was a once in a lifetime opportunity, all made possible by Glorious Himalayas and our amazing guide Prakash! Could not recommend enough!

We had an amazing trek holiday with Prakash and Glorious Himalayas. We were well looked after at all times and the trip was well organised, whilst remaining flexible for any last minute changes we asked for. Prakash has a lovely calm demeanour but also a wicked sense of humour when appropriate. We had a lot of fun together. I’d recommend this support team if you want to complete what is a hard trek, and leave with amazing experiences and a great sense of pride for what we achieved.

A wonderful introduction to trekking in the stunning Himalaya mountains. Starting in Syabrubesi at 1500m this trek in a few overnight stops will take you to the teahouse village of Kyanjin Gompa at 3870m. With a further out and back trek to kyanjin Ri 4773m or Tsergo RI at 5033. The Langtang trek takes you to heights only a few hundred metres below Everest base camp. So this is no mean feat. The valley is beautiful with the sounds of rushing water from waterfalls and mountain rivers. You’ll likely come across yaks, cows, monkeys, birds and working mules along the trail. And if you’re lucky spot a marmot or Himalayan mouse. This trek will not disappoint. So do a bit of training and be prepared for altitude gains. Glorious Himalaya will take care of the rest.

Solo trekking in Nepal was an unforgettable experience! My guide was incredibly helpful, providing valuable insights and support throughout the journey. He arranged all my accommodations and meals, ensuring I was well taken care of while allowing me the freedom to explore at my own pace. The stunning landscapes and rich culture made every step worthwhile. The trek offered a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. I felt safe and supported, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of Nepal. Highly recommend this adventure for solo travelers!

We had a great time with Prakash, our guide, Langtang valley. He took great care of us, we always felt safe and well looked after with him. The trek itself is highly recommended, but the last day of climbing is very challenging - but worthwhile!

My girlfriend and I decided to do the Langtang Valley Trek with Glorious Himalaya Trekking. It was an awesome experience. We booked a group tour but were surprised with being the only two. Our guide Keshab was really kind and we were able to modify the trek to our wishes without a problem. Everything went very well. The nature is just stunning and we can highly recommend the company.

A trip of a lifetime! Two close friends and I did the Langtang Valley Trek. Glorious Himalaya Trekking was very accommodating and answered our questions before the trip. I went in this trek with two good friends and it was truly an amazing experience. We landed in Kathmandu during the end of some fairly significant rain and met our guide Prakash the following day. He gave us recommendations on places to purchase odds and ends for the trek. We left the next morning on an exhilarating jeep ride to the Langtang national park and began our trek. Truly unique and welcoming experience hiking from village to village stopping for lunch and taking in the scenery. The hiking days were very challenging but rewarding, and Prakash was great about staying informed on the ever changing trail and weather conditions and made small changes to the itinerary as needed. On the second to last day the weather worsened and we collectively decided to speed through the last day’s hike in order to get to our final destination and back to Kathmandu ahead of incoming rain. Throughout the trek, Prakash taught us about local food and customs and he constantly made sure we were all doing well. He also kept our spirits up during some of the more challenging portions of the hike. There were a few instances where the trails were washed out from the recent rains and our amazing porters pioneered and assisted our safe crossings on alternative routes. Definitely a trip of a lifetime and cannot give enough gratitude to Prakash and the two porters!!

Due to the limited time my friends and I had to go on a Himalayan trek, we went with the Langtang Valley trek and Glorious Himalaya's itinerary and price made them the best option. I'm beyond grateful we went with Glorious Himalaya. Ganesh answered our exhaustive questions pre-trek, let us know everything us amateurs needed to do to prepare, met with us in Kathmandu, kept in touch with us during the trek, and met with us afterwards. Our guide, Prakash, and our two porters were highly professional and skilled, and got us safely through 46 miles of rugged trails and breathtaking landscapes. I have no experience with other trek companies, but my experience with Glorious Himalaya guaranteed I will book future treks with them. Thank you so much Ganesh for the once-in-a-lifetime experience!
