Descubre el auténtico corazón de Creta en una aventura de un día completo a través de paisajes pintorescos, pueblos tradicionales y paisajes de montaña impresionantes. Visite a un productor de aceite de oliva tradicional para aprender sobre la elaboración de aceite de oliva y disfrutar de una degustación de aceite de oliva local premium. Admira la presa de Aposelemi y el pueblo parcialmente sumergido de Sfendili antes de probar el raki local y delicias caseras. Siga los antiguos senderos minoicos a través de las montañas, visite a un pastor local, alimente a las cabras y pruebe el queso tradicional recién hecho. Esta es la mejor manera de explorar el centro de Creta con mesetas, caminos antiguos y vida salvaje. Nuestro viaje comienza desde su hotel a través de las espectaculares montañas de Creta, visitamos el Depósito de la cuenca de Aposelemis y un antiguo acueducto romano. Desde aquí, visitaremos el pueblo de Kastamonitsa, ubicado en las estribaciones de las montañas Afendi, donde experimentará el desayuno al estilo cretense y se le presentará un producto local, Raki. Ahora prepárense para pistas de tierra, siguiendo el camino minoico que atraviesa los pasos de montaña, experimentando una vida salvaje espectacular, paisajes increíbles, mitología, historia y disfruten viendo la naturaleza local en su mejor momento. Aquí, en lo alto de las montañas, nos detenemos en un Mitato de pastores, donde podemos alimentar a los animales mientras vemos a los pastores producir queso de la manera tradicional y antigua e incluso probar este rico y fresco manjar. La siguiente parada es una vista panorámica de la meseta de Lassithi y la costa norte, una gran oportunidad para tomarse una foto. Continuamos hacia la cueva Diction, el lugar de nacimiento de Zeus. Hay un cargo de entrada de 4 € y se recomiendan zapatos para caminar. Después de la acumulación y el apetito, nos dirigimos a almorzar a una taberna local donde tendrá la oportunidad de probar una selección de entrantes y platos principales locales tradicionales (opción vegetariana disponible) y disfrutar de una copa o dos de vino ilimitado. Una vez refrescados, continuamos hacia Lassithi visitando el parque ecológico Lassinthos, donde se puede experimentar la artesanía tradicional y el estilo de vida local. Luego, a la meseta de Lassithi, donde el tiempo prácticamente se ha detenido, la población local es principalmente campesina. Tú También verá muchos burros en el trabajo. Luego nos dirigimos a Seli, donde una vez más tenemos la oportunidad de tomar fotos de este paisaje único. A really enjoyable trip exploring off the beaten track - the scenery was amazing & would have been inaccessible without the Land Rover. Darrel our guide was an excellent driver & had an amazing knowledge of the local flora & fauna & of Cretan history so we learnt a lot through. Lunch at a traditional taverna was also delicious & an authentic way to finish the day.

A beautiful day exploring the Lasithi plateau with a Guide who loves his job. Attention the entrance to the zeus cave is extra and is not included in the Award of the excursion. It’s also a shame that we came back an hour earlier than the time indicated by the person who sold us the tour. The Award is a little high. We still loved this trip.

It was amazing to be able to see the 'middle' of Crete........amazing mountains which are hidden just touring the highways surrounding this beautiful island. Fun to see the goats so accustomed to people. Christian was an excellent guide and really had to work explaining the sites to our group, both in French & English. Lunch was an amazing treat.... thoroughly enjoyed all of the local food!
