It was an extraordinary experience, guide absolutely top-notch, very interesting, fluid discussions. It was a feast for the eyes, quality snorkeling, easy. Lunch with our feet in the water was quite simply in paradise, and it was delicious! We were able to see turtles, rays, sharks, and fish; it was wonderful. We recommend it to anyone coming to Moorea!
Even though it rained we still had a fantastic day. Snorkelled with turtles, eagle rays, black tipped sharks and sting rays plus lots of reef fish. We then had a delicious meal of chicken, tuna and rice and fries for the meat eaters and salads for the vegetarians. Rum punch, juices and beers were plenty. The rays and sharks swam around our feet whilst we ate.
This was my second time booking this excursion! It is the best on the island so don’t hesitate to book it now! Great value for the money. Swam with black tip sharks, had a wonderful lunch with drinks included! Lots of history and great captain and family. You don’t want to miss this!
Teva was just great, we enjoyed him so much. This private tour for the four of us was so informative and enjoyable. We toured the bays, he gave us good Polynesian history and science of the volcanos and reef, and then he took us out to a shallow area where I, a nervous snorkeler, could get comfortable with it first. Then he took us out to a deeper spot where there were sea turtles. We snorkeled with a guide for safety. Later there was lunch at their private island. It was well prepared and generous and we so enjoyed the rays swimming around our feet and watching the blacktip sharks circle, but never get close. The motu has entertainment options like ping pong, rock climbing and some games. The friendliness of Teva and Johanna and their friends just added to the overall wonderfulness.
This was hands down the best experience we have had so far in this tropical paradise. Everything was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. I was a little nervous about being in the open ocean, especially because I am a bit paranoid about sharks, but the guides were incredible. They made us feel completely safe, comfortable, and taken care of the entire time. We did see sharks, but because of the crew’s knowledge, calm energy, and professionalism, I was able to truly enjoy the experience instead of feeling afraid. My 5 year old daughter felt so encouraged and safe that she decided she wanted to swim and snorkel too. That meant so much to us. They provided water, snorkeling gear, floating jackets, and everything we needed. My husband forgot his sandals and only had hiking boots, and the guide was so kind that he provided water shoes for him. Johana, his wife, was amazing. Thank you, beautiful soul. She made me feel so welcome, almost like I was at home. Her two young kids played with my daughter, and even though they did not speak the same language, they had the most memorable time together. My daughter already wants to go back, and honestly, my husband and I do too. A special thank you also to the mama cook. She provided delicious drinks and all the food we needed to get our energy back after so much swimming. We saw sharks, stingrays, turtles, and so many other beautiful sea creatures. The whole tour made us feel like royalty. The information shared with us, the knowledge of the ocean, and the love this family has for what they do will always stay with us. I usually do not write reviews, but this experience was too amazing not to share. The place is secluded, family-owned, and feels like heaven on earth. No crowds, no rushed feeling , just beauty, peace, kindness, and an unforgettable family experience. Thank you to the entire crew. I will remember you always. Māuruuru roa!
Great experience!!! We saw turtles, young black tip sharks and stingrays that swim up to you during lunch time!!! So cool!!!! FYI Just so you know there are no washrooms on the boat, so limit your fluids before getting on boat but there is a bathroom at the lunch site! And the ferry has bathrooms as well!!!
Exceptional meal in an exceptional setting. Everything is perfect: the managers are top-notch, we loved the meal with our feet in the water, and we had a great time during the boat outing with the owner. I recommend this place... Stephane, Caroline, Jade, and Lea
One of the best tours we have been on. Snorkeling was amazing and we saw everything the guides told us we would see; sharks, stingrays, eagle rays, turtles, and spinner dolphins. Better yet, for most of it, it was only our group of 8. Johanna's motu was a lot of fun and the food was great. We would highly recommend this tour.
Teva and Johanna were great guides and the tour was relaxing and fun! I learned so much about the geology and history of this region while also experiencing the wildlife and stunning beauty. We started with a boat ride out to the bay to see the Spina dolphins which seemed to be everywhere. Teva shares information about the geology and culture of the region as well as their history. We then went to snorkel with rays and sharks. Plenty of beautiful fish to see as well. We moved on to a drift snorkel where we saw multiple sea turtles and actually swam with one for a bit. Then on to lunch where we were able to experience authentic Polynesian cooking with barbecue and fresh fish which were delicious and served with a cold local beer. Spending time with Teva, his wife and his children was a highlight as we were able to see his home and talk with his family. We even got to taste some of the sea salt his son was making! Lunch was served at picnic tables in the water where fish, sharks and rays swim at your feet. Johanna and Teva are spectacular hosts and the setting of their home and our lunch was truly extraordinary. I feel so grateful to have been able to have this experience. One of the best most authentic experiences I have ever had when traveling
For discovering the lagoon of Moorea, this tour is fantastic. Teiva and Johanna are very attentive to us. Meeting dolphins in Opunohu Bay, swimming with rays, blacktip sharks, and turtles, ending on the family motu for a great lunch with our feet in the water. What else! Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness. Seb and Sandrine
