Lago Nakuru / Lago Naivasha / Masai Mara 5 días Lodge Safari

We visited Kenya in June for a 5 day safari as part of our honeymoon. The booking process was very straight forward and seemed like exceptional value for what we were getting, especially compared to some other tour providers. We were contacted by Explorer Kenya shortly after the booking to confirm payment and booking arrangements. They were also very informative about what would be required by way of ETA in order to enter Kenya. The team at Explorer Kenya were always very friendly, helpful and replied to any queries quickly. Upon arrival in Kenya we were greeted by our Tour Guide Solomon as soon as we stepped out of the airport departure gate and he showed us to our vehicle which would be getting used for the duration of the safari. He dropped us at our hotel in Nairobi, made sure we got checked in and made arrangements for collecting us the next morning to head to Maasai Mara. Throughout the full safari, Solomon was exceptionally organised and punctual, always being at the meeting place exactly when he said we would be. He also made sure that us and our belongings were safe and secure at all times throughout our trip, and would liaise with any third parties such as the hot-air-balloon safari (which we would definitely recommend) as well as the boat and walking safari which was organised for us while at Lake Naivasha. On a personal level, we couldn't have hoped for a better guide for our safari. Solomon was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and provided so much information about the whole of Kenya (not just the parks and reserves) throughout the several long drives between camps. More importantly, he was extremely nice and approachable, and we had a lot of laughs throughout the safari. During our safari we stayed: 1 night at Tamarind Tree hotel in Nairobi 2 nights at Entim Mara Camp - Maasai Mara 1 night at The Cliff Camp - Lake Nakuru 1 night at Enishipai Spa and Resort - Lake Naivasha All of the above were great properties, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the camps and Entim Mara and the Cliff. The accomodation, food and service was exceptional, and would recommend to anyone staying in these reserves. All in all we couldn't have hoped for more and would definitely recommend Explorer Kenya. If/when we return to Kenya we would be looking to use again.

Our family enjoyed a fabulous safari tour to some of the most beautiful scenery in Kenya and had the most amazing time! Our guide John Kariuki made the trip perfect, with his extensive knowledge of Kenya and its history, his ability to spot wildlife and position us for the perfect shot, and his extensive knowledge of the industry and lodges - we stayed at the most beautiful locations each night! Other guides for our group included November and James who were also highly knowledgeable and experienced. We would definitely recommend this company, highly recommend John K. as your guide, and would return in a heartbeat if we could! Thank you John for a memorable adventure for our family in Kenya!

We had a wonderful experience! Our guide John Kariuki was absolutely great! Having him as the lead really made the trip for our family. Informative, fun, and incredible at knowing just where the animals will head to next to beat the other groups. Uncanny! We will be back, and we will be requesting John for sure!

1st time to Kenya and Africa. Company (explorer kenya) and guide (Ian, ask for him he was excellent) immediately made us felt at ease and safe. We were a group of 3 couples and wonderfull trip, Clean, safe, puntual, and represented the Company well. Explorer Kenya are lucky to have him (Ian) This is Africa, this isn't suburbia other than him being knowledgeable on flora and fauna he was an excellent driver between destinations got us there safe and sound (which can be a challenge in Nairobi city driving to... safari driving) Explorer Kenya did a great job, Ian also catered and caters well to the public, reading well his clientele and designing a trip to the their needs. He knows the best places hide outs of the parks for the animals, read the land well, iminent weather changes, not ever getting stuck, and all other guides respected him. I feel like we lucked out a lot with this tour group and guide. Cant say enough good things. All in all and most importantly felt safe and looked after.

John Kariuki of Explorer Kenya gave us a safari that couldn’t have been better. John seemed to have a sixth sense to know where all the animals were and where they were going. He always got us in a great position to see all the wildlife and other sights. He also was amazing in that he could answer virtually every question about the animals and Kenya. He found all the animals, told us what species they were, their gender, and unique characteristics about them. Often he told us what they were going to do next, and he always seemed to be right. He was extremely courteous and helpful the entire time we were with him. We were a bit concerned about the potential of being victims of crime. However, with John those thoughts quickly faded away. We highly recommend him and his safari company to any body who wants a safe safari filled with all the animals you would expect to see in Kenya.

Explorer Kenya provided a great service! They were flexible to adjust to our times and places of interest and helpfully provided recommendations and suggestions to adjust the itinerary. Our guide/driver Vincent was outstanding. He was incredibly professional and kind. We learned a lot about Kenya’s lifestyle, food, and of course - wildlife. He was great at spotting animals at a far distance and a great company all throuout the trip. Truth is, when doing safaris, the guide/driver is very important. You’ll end up spending 4-8days with them travelling around the country, so having the right person with you is essential. I can’t recommend Vincent enough

The Safari experience was great, all times were perfect and we got to see a lot thanks to our guide Ian and all his knowledge, we definitely recommend it if you get him as a guide.

He explained a lot to us about the animals and their habitats. Everything was very straightforward and worked smoothly. Had an amazing safari experience with our guide Vincent during our 3 nights at Masai Mara and 1 night at Naivasha trip. Vincent was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated throughout the journey. Thanks to his experience and effort, we were fortunate enough to spot all of the Big 5, which made the safari truly unforgettable. One of the most incredible moments of the trip was witnessing a live kill in the wild — a rare and once-in-a-lifetime experience that added to the excitement and authenticity of the safari. Vincent’s sharp tracking skills, understanding of animal movements, and commitment to giving us the best experience made a huge difference. He was always patient, informative, and ensured we were at the right place at the right time. I would highly recommend Vincent to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.
