Our fishing trip was fantastic from start to finish. We were picked up at 5:15 in the morning at our hotel. We were brought to the Lake Arenal docks (approx 20 minutes away) right near Sky Adventure Ziplining park. We met Brian on the dock and we started our fishing adventure at 5:45. The lake is beautiful, we seemed to have all of Lake Arenal and the view of the volcano all to ourselves. We caught a few Rainbow Bass and continue fishing until 11. A fantastic lunch was provided. Brian is a fantastic guide as he has grown up on Lake Arenal and it shows in his knowledge.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are very happy to know that the outing felt enjoyable from the early start through the time on the water. Experiences like this are truly special when everything comes together in such a peaceful setting. It is also wonderful to hear that the guiding made a positive difference and added depth to the experience. Having that local knowledge often makes each moment even more meaningful. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again in the future.
Even though it was rainy we still had a great time. The guide was very patient, and knowledgeable. The lake is beautiful and serene, and I caught a nice bass.
Our guides were so friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful time catching rainbow bass and the food was delicious! We had a great day on the lake :)
The guide and I fished hard, but no luck. We tried several different lures. I suspect that any fish were deep. Maybe next time.
We had the most wonderful time with Jairo, Brian & John. Great views, great fishing and lots of laughs. Highly recommend them. Pura Vida
We had the best guides,Jairo Villalobos and Brian. Machaca fish and rainbow bass were caught and released on our excursion. Our pickup was on time and Jairo was very knowledgeable about the lake, area and fish. We highly recommend this company and Jairo and Brian!!! We made some great memories, took lots of pictures and videos!!! 5star all the way!!!!
This was a great trip. We drove from San Jose and enjoyed the drive to La Fortuna. We opted for the 1pm slot. Take local currency for any tolls. Its usually no mor than a few dollars each way. The sandwiches they provided were amazing. Our guides put us on some beautiful fish. He was extremely knowledgeable about the lake and surrounding region, He provided some background on the reforesting efforts and how they came to be cleared. It did rain on us but don't expect to spend the day without rain in a rain forest. 🙂 The drive back to San Jose was a bit longer at night. It was worth the drive. Excellent tour guide.
The fishing was great and the views were spectacular. Our guide was helpful and did a great job getting us into the fish.
We had amazing time fishing with Brian. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Our driver Alberto was very professional.
Our guides were FANTASTIC! They knew the places to go to get the most fish, and along the way told us about the volcano, flora, fauna and animals in the area.
