This animal and bird sanctuary was fascinating. It was fun to see the interaction of the different species of monkeys and birds, etc. Our guide was very knowledgeable. This is a sanctuary for animals and birds that have been injured. It was a good tour to do in La Fortuna. Bring your bug spray.
Did the wildlife and volunteering tour this morning with Carlos. So informative but also lots of fun. Carlos had a great way of connecting with everybody - young and old whilst educating us all on the animals and the conservation they are doing. We helped make the breakfasts for the animals and learned so much about their behaviours - especially as we then went to watch the food be given out. Would totally recommend to go and visit - such a great project to support whilst having fun.
This is a great way to get a feel for how much Costa Rican's care about their animal residents. You will learn a lot about what is being done to conserve and protect Costa Rica in general. We learned a lot and really enjoyed being participants in the volunteer role. We came away with a great appreciation for Costa Rica from this visit.
Our driver was amazing! So kind and helpful. He even stopped to buy us coconut drinks! The tour was amazing! The guide was knowledgeable and fun and we loved volunteering with the animals. Highly recommend!
Attended today with our young family ages 6, 8 and 11 year olds. This was the highlight of our holiday. We got to see all the rescued animals, learn more about how to be more responsible with wildlife and got to feed the monkeys. We had an excellent tour guide, Carlos, who was very knowledgeable, kept the kids engaged and very friendly. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back if I had the chance and highly recommend to anyone else in the area
Very professional and friendly guides. We did sloth and wildlife tours. Thumps up for places like these who are passionate about helping animals and at the same time educating people. Loved it.
